DICE Team
What is your own opinion though?
- VOLBANKER_PC3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Straatford87 I stayed up all night playing Flashpoint Conquest! It’s so much fun 🙂
The new specialist is ok, however I like playing Medic so I went back to Falck after a while. 130 more revives or something like that and I will have T1 in Defibrilator! - VGC_Groover3 years agoNew Traveler@Straatford87 It’s great to have another map to play, but after a couple of rounds we went back to regular conquest.
Too unpredictable- shot from pretty much every angle except when in the furthest capture points near perm spawn.
Vehicles camping on the hills almost immune from any counters.
Attack helicopters having an absolute field day where the infantry converge at C/D/E. In our final game the attack pilot went 71:1 k:d, which points at being a bit OP doesn’t it?
Some interesting ideas, but generally a step backwards after stranded and spearhead. - InsidiuZ3 years agoNew Hotshot@VGC_Groover @Straatford87 Don't bother the Prime players (Pilots) just forget about them and see how long you can stand being farmed, if you think they are OP you are exposed to the engineers getting another nerf, it doesn't make sense what I just said, but that's how it works.
Currently if a pilot is half decent they are able to stay in the sky the whole game, with the Lis nerf there are no more obstacles for them, they have a free hand to farm as much as they want.
Get used to it because this is the game that DICE wants, they want a game where vehicles are 20 steps above the rest. - bitebullet21423 years agoRising Adventurer
I think the map is fine. But I understand the opnion is polarised.
BT is a meat-grinder. As lots of players were asking for a Metro-style map, this is what DICE has delivered. You get a feel of BT128p vibe because the map is smaller. People who dislike kaos will dislike this map. I played aournd 15 rounds on BT last night, won on defending most of the time, only won one attacking out of ca. 5-6 rounds. People might have different experience, but I won't say its one-sided. DICE should have more data on this.
Give it more time, it was always a bit kaotic in the begging of a new launch/mode. And lots of people were trying to finish weekly mission instead of playing their favorite loadouts (I was one of few people in a match equipped with Javelin, trying to take out tanks. Most of ppl was grinding the new specialist). Once people get settled in and know the map better, it will be definitely more balanced.
The map reminds me of BF4 maps, which is kindav nice. Shoutout to Ripple Effects.
And most people does on Reddit do is to complain. Majority of the players and player that like the map don't usually get on Reddit.

Lis is not the only one that can deal with heli. You have R5, Javelin, Rao, Soflam, Dart, AA. If you have a team equipped with a few more of those, the heli won't be that much a problem. Blaming Lis nerf is just lazy because the root cause is there ain't team-play.
But such team-play is being tone-downed after the class rework. You see less engieers, less Rao, even less Soflam. People only revive because it is in the weekly mission. That's just my experience that I got killed by vehicle a lot more than before. DICE should have more exact data on it. Yes, I dislike the class rework.

Btw. I play the Xbox One version of BF2042 so there are only 64 players in Conquest.
That fits well, I think.

I think this new map would be great as 64p
Playing 128p last night and it was carnage, camping is rife, vehicles dominating, as teams tend to not do as they should and use classes/weapons to combat them, instead thinking someone else will deal with it.
Love the map, the terrain, but give us a persistent 64p mode please.

The map has potential. Some of the objectives are really nice, with what seems like more destruction. The underground areas are cool but not even used in BT and seem underutilized in CQ. You can tell this map was built up in size starting from the C1 flag, amirite? Blink in the next podcast if I am correct.
CQ recommendations: reduce the player count to 64 for CQ, the map is too narrow for 128 players all lodged within 3 points of each other. Reduce the armor count to 2 per team (includes MAV), add some smoke between points to cut down on snipers (especially in B, D, and F sectors). I would make A1 and G1 the team spawns instead of in a random dirt area and go to 5 pts.
BT recommendations: Give both attackers and defenders the same number of vehicles, limit armor to 1, remove air. Change sector and out of bounds lines to give defenders more favorable spawning spaces. Smoke in same areas in CQ will help retreats in BT. Get the underground area involved as an objective.
C1 looks like a fun TDM area or King of the Hill.
Maybe it is just me, but is the rock/ground/dirt have different physics/behavior than other maps? I don't slide off rocks like they are ice like I do on other maps. Even with the hills, it feels like I can run up them normally and not feel like a 45-degree slope is too much for Falck at her age (and slide back down).
@Straatford87I think it plays horrible with 128 player Conquest.
there’s too many random encounters causing me to die by being shot in the back from any advantage point on the map from extreme distances away, also players are really hard to see on this map. It has bad flow.
I seriously believe that the 128 player game mode was and is not a good idea.
32v32 gives room to breathe and get more tactical.
