You mean bullet spread?
Bloom in regard to weapons is where guns become increasingly inaccurate the longer it fires. This is different from spread where bullets will consistently be (in)accurate within a certain area no matter how long the weapon is fired.
- @Noodlesocks That's called spread increase and has been in Battlefield forever. Controlling spread increase and decrease by tap firing has always been a skill in BF games.
- RaginSam4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Noodlesocks I think Spread and Bloom are the same thing. the term "bullet spread" typically gets used in games like Battlefield while "bloom" is more commonly used in Destiny or Halo. the term Bloom is used when the crosshair represents the change of accuracy.
The bullet spread cone can get bigger if you just hold the trigger. - @Lykosia It’s a * . I played in battlefield 5 , and the gunplay is normal . Here , in battlefield 2042 we have broken hit-marker and broken random bloom or spread

It has featured to varying degrees in previous games but never as egregious as in 2042. Even Battlefield 4 handled it better.

If you could control the recoil in that game you were rewarded, not punished.

Without it, you get BFVs Action Man and that wasn't fun. - @Lykosia But tap firing doesn't work either. When i put the AR's on single shot I still get random bullet deviation and the bullets still land outside of where im aiming. As of riight now the AR's have way too much spread and are broken Smg's are far more accurate even at range

@cng82But tap firing is NOT the same as being on single shot. If you are spamming single shot too quick you'll get the same result as holding the trigger in auto.
Unfortunately, and as far as I am aware, spread stats and how they have been implemented have not been published anywhere so it is difficult to assess exactly what is going on but I suspect it is some form of SIPS.Whilst I am not saying ARs are in a good place relatively, SMGs particularly the Pee Pee-29 are more likely to be 'broken'.

If it's possible to kill an enemy before the bloom begins to deviate wildly from the target then it is... manageable. However, any degree of randomness is never good for pvp games.
Bloom Bloom bloomity bloom.... New word for the day. We can guess who has been watching Westie and Co's latest video's. Stop listening to those noobs it's always I, I, I and me, me me in there video's. Listening to them complain why they can't kill everybody they shoot at is so sad. Then to jump onboard the specialist hate train because that gets you more likes is just plain sad.
Game balance and gun balance has to change to deal with 128p so and it is a work in progress so whats new in gaming.
- @ShevermiN We are well aware balance will have to change, but balance doesn't mean taking skill out of the game, all the bloom has done is take out skill from a SHOOTER game. Imagine if CS:GO implemented RNG based spread, the entire community would do damn wild, cause it takes out skill. If you ADS, and your crosshair is on their head and click, it should hit their head and register a headshot.
- @Orenj-Jues 20 year old game play mechanics in a game that is 16p at the most ?? can't compare. Look there are issues with the games balance gunplay and hit reg for sure. But DICE listened to the game changers for BFV and look how that was received ???
We need to wait , I hope they will fix random weapon bloom , and hit marker . Until we can play battlefield 5 or mw19 )
