I would much rather be actually playing in a match with bots rather than waiting 10 minutes for a lobby to fill up with "real" players. I'll gladly trade the tickets if it means I'm playing. And I find that 90% of the time the bots are gone within 5 minutes, so I'll keep them, thanks
But this is not the issue Im talking about. You talk about starting matches with bots until server fills. Im talking about ending matches with bots because people left. Hence the word backfill 🙂
I have never been in a match were bots are a part of the team from the so cant comment on the impact. The issue come at the last half of the round when the game stops backfilling human players and instead puts in bots. This gives you less time to make up for the feeding and in many cases its the direct cause of the defeat. Meaning one team lose with 20 tickets only to see 6 bots have died 60 times while the other teams only had 2 bots losing 15 tickets.
@UP_Hawxxeye Theres nothing human players can do when you auto lose 10-30 tickets per bot. Also its not about ending up in a lobby with mostly AI as this happens when people leave the game. I have no way to predict how to end up on a team that will leave the last half however I do know that you wont see the AI if you play 128p due to how the scorebord doesnt show the entire list. So if you are on the upper half of the scoreboard you wont notice the bunch of AI on the lower half going 0-20 each. So try play CQ64p for a few rounds and you will see them in many rounds on either team in the last half og the round. Many rounds will end up with bots backfilling and "helping" the team with 0-20 each :P You also then notice than the number is not the same for each team etc. Many times its only one team that get them.
But Im not going to spend much time discusssing this. Just wanted to highlight that bots isnt helping at all and you may lose games because of random number of bots feeding the other team.
