I was just curious as to what do people think about Tactical conquest and liquidators cosmetics. I know many people having been bashing it that's not what this topic is for so no negativity please.Me personally, I do like Tactical conquest. It depends on the map though. It's fun but I wish all the info in the top right corner wasn't there it's annoying and takes away from the immersion. I know what I'm playing I don't need it glued to my screen. Besides that it's fun. For the first time ever iv been tempted to actually purchase a skin (normally I would never spend money on cosmetics they don't interest me) but that new skin for the DM7 "severed"* I believe it's called. I really like it and how it changes the 3.5x scope it's cool. Like the new free AK24 skin as well with the cool xdr holo (normally I avoid that sight because it adds tint to the lens).So how do others feel about it just curious. I'm excited for the orbital rework coming soon.

It's not an event, it's dice using it's marketing team to try to get players back, but forgetting, that you actually have to make something special in-game for it to work.Short answer: They use their marketing team to sell us dirt.... Again

Not a huge fan. I’ve played three games and I was locked in my spawn in each game. Maybe two minutes into the third game I just threw my hands up in the air and gave up.

@SCUBASTEVE120 Meh, I’m over it. I’m too old, and have better thing to be worrying about challenges in a game that’s not that great anyways.

@SCUBASTEVE120 The lag in what is basically a competition match makes it too awful to play. Losing to a skilled player os one thing, losing because you’re milliseconds behind the game play is something else. The matchmaking is pretty bad too, with the low pop. On a Friday night, usually a big gaming night, 3 friends (incl me) got placed on one side against a single player. Poor guy tried his best, and we didn’t really go hard after him, but what kind of game would start 3 against 1? A round later was full, however it put us in a match that was 6-7, and it took one of our party out and put them on the other team. As with the rest of 2042, it’s poorly balanced, poorly thought out, and poorly executed.

I had assumed that a mode titled Tactical Conquest would reward PTFO, but objective captures aren't even on the scoreboard. It feels more like TDM than anything to me.
And, I don't know what is going on, getting a revive is always a toss-up, but people are absolutely REFUSING to revive in this mode.
I do like some of the skins, not a big fan of the white theme, but some are good.
I do believe that the majority of the cosmetics should be unlockable. Based on the state this game and all the issues it has had, and this is the 1ST live service event since launch a year ago, maybe those that have hung around deserve to get a little something-something. I'm still waiting for my 'love letter to the fans'.
They should have unlocks every 5 ribbons and went up to 250 or whatever and then let this mode run until S3 begins.

@SCUBASTEVE120 I can't avoid some negativity, sorry. For me, the linear maps play a bit like BF4 Metro without walls. The spawn areas provide not enough cover which makes games especially one sided, when the inferior team didn't managed to hold a control point.

With the small team sizes, people compare Tactical Conquest to Domination. For me Domination handles the spawn lock issue better, since you don't have an uncap area, and players spawn anywhere on the map. But I guess this is because of the (current) limitations about what Portal can do.

I am very biased about the new specialists skins, like the T1 skins, the Liquidator skins use red accents. Since red is the default color to mark enemies, this is another faux pax in the design. I'm sure these skins were designed with Hazard Zone in mind, but this doesn't help on the classical Battlefields modes, does it.

But to be honest, I am hardly part of the target audience for this game.

I don't think this new mode is any less nor any more tactical than the rest of 2042. To me, the only real difference is that there's no vehicles.
I like infantry-only, so I appreciate the new mode.
My only gripe is that I was hoping we'd be able to play it on NEW maps, specially designed for this type of warfare. So playing on the same old tired maps is a real let down, for me.
They also didn't include this mode for Solo/Coop, which is yet another slap in the face to their PvE customers...a big no-no because forcing us to play this in Portal for PvE means no weapon progression and very little BP progression.
If they gave us at least 3 new small maps to play this on (not remakes) and included the mode for Solo/Coop then I would play it regularly.

@BigShottt Completely agree, although I did have stranded in mind for this game mode. I usually only buy battlefield games for the pvp but I could see the frustration due to the fact that there is no story mode the should be way more added with pve in mind to make up for what it's lacking
