Maybe you need to wrap your dense head around the fact that vehicles take something called teamwork to destroy most of the time. Its always been that way in BF games. Go play other games then

TLDR: Bad players crying about C5 deaths from drones get catered to now that helicopters have been nerfed because the same players dont know how to use soflam/stingers/aa tanks and cover.

Next up tank nerfs because they cant 1 shot a tank with a rocket.

Then gun nerfs because they cant shoot for a crap...

See where this is going?

@AnobixYou arent going to convince me that a sniper sitting in one place is useful. If you are shooting AND using soflam you are half assing both and just frustrating people carrying M5s because you arent keeping tartgets painted. If you are going to hang back and soflam, focus on that. If you arent doing that then ptfo 

@PsubondFirst let me qualify. The greater majority of snipers are stat padding self absorbed score board watchers. Now, that being said. I have no intention of changing your mind.   What I will state are facts.

RE: Sniping is a surgical elimination of high target value ground targets and devices. I have

1. Eliminated Ranger and Guns protecting a node. Especially post patch since they have been buffed
2. Eliminated flag campers in or under buildings
3. Eliminated mobile ground troops running to the blindside of armor presumably with C5
4. Eliminated reviving
5. Eliminated drivers of Boltes and Jeeps
6. Eliminated Drones
7. Eliminated SOFLAM users

All these are helpful and contributes to a team win. No one thing does in a game designed like this

Re Drones

After patch Casper is useless. He might be able to take out a vehicle, but it is such a low percentage play, why bother

Prior patch, the drone was more efficient for spotting then the SOFLAM because of its mobility. While the SOFLAM does give tone, my experience has been nobody cares. Ive toned targets for 15 seconds and not one person fired at it.  This isnt the exception, it is usually the rule

1. The drone allowed one to find those snipers,without the inconvenience of poor position
2. It allowed one to eliminate Armor camping in the out of play area unloading its never ending munitions on the closest node (Ex: D1 Hourglass)
3. It allowed EMP which I used all the time. When I saw ground approaching armor, I would EMP the armor, giving ground the opportunity to C5 the unit.
4. I used my drone to EMP Guns, Ranger and other Drones allowing our forces opportunity to advance.

The problem with this sort of play is, it isnt reflected in the score.There are no points or assists for doing these things, no record of the events   But, it contributes to the win scenario as much, if not more then just playing ground and pound.  Just because it isnt reflected, does not mean it is useless.

Chart whoring is useless in determining best player. The chart is why people play for stats, and not for wins. It is nothing more then an excuse to blame others.  If you look at the chart and complained about someone not having a high score, and they played a specialist designed to assist, you are part of the problem. 

Qualification

I have T1 in both SOFLAM and Drone, and my Eagle Eyes label (conquest achieved). I am level S029

Same with the jets and helos. Sluggish maneuvering and boring game play on them since you can now only usually have 2-3 attack aircraft and just as many "transports" that do tons of damage and take half the team to kill. Smh

I have t1 on those things as well.  I think I'm  mastery 140ish on soflam so 14k+ spots.  I know how to run a soflam. Speaking of which, you have to give your team time to notice you are running soflam and switch to m5.  Don't just do it once and give up. 

I focus on capping flags and killing vehicles.

I still think a "sniper" laying prone taking pot shots at 400+ meters are completely useless

Edit: oh, and I'm level S050 (not that rank matters but you brought it up)

I need to try it again but it seems that the A2G missiles now target drones. Don't think they did pre-update.
