You literally begged dice for crossplay and you got it……
I would argue that is only one part of the demand of console players.

I think the numbers speak for themselves.Actually you can see who killed you just look up their name under players and it gives a list of everyone playing and what platform they are on and u are completely wrong bcuz they have a huge advantage I can tell b4 looking if I was killed by a pc player or not it’s almost always an instant head shot within a Mika second of being in their view and I am right about it being a pc player 95% of the time when I check. So they do have an advantage. I can tell immediately And I have 2042 on series x and on Xbox one and on Xbox one where it is only consoles playing I do much better and die much less. Soo you are wrong
I just move to PUBG... crossplay only ps vs xbox there...
it´s awesome!! Bye
- @RicksPvp Not from my experience. Most are console and the Xbox have a clear advantage over PC. I can rarely kill an xbox player in a one-on-one scenario. My bullets dont register or they have no recoil or aim assist.
- ElliotLH4 years agoHero+@Ahhnuld Same applies in reverse. Nearly all of my deaths are at the hands of PC players.
Why not have just two modes:
1 - CrossPlay off - Xbox and Playstation only (why divide as they are both controllers)
2- CrossPlay on - Xbox, Playstation, and PC
At this point, there is no way Dice can remove PC from console as that runs the risk of "Waiting for Players" death spiral for every platform.
At best, this could be implemented after Season 1 launches this summer with the resulting higher player counts. Otherwise the only other option being immediate Free to Play, which gets complicated...
- kregora4 years agoSeasoned Ace@DeepSixxxx Currently Crossplay is a necessity. The game has no longer the player numbers to make matchmaking work without Crossplay.
- @kregora I'm not 100%, but I think CrossPlay off is Xbox console only, or Playstation console only. It is currently three groups of players, so making it two groups of players would increase the player numbers for "CrossPlay off by perhaps as much as 50% if you combine Playstation and Xbox Players.
At some point before Season 1 releases in "Summer", Dice might have to drop 128 player modes on console and that would force older consoles players with newer console players, and again increase the game mode player count. I think this could happen, as right now letting new console players pick 64 vs 128 is only creating more player count issues as it spreads players even thinner by having twice as many game mode options for the same game types...
Dice/EA have a inevitable player death spiral issue right now, due mainly to launching the game 6 months too early while it was near "Tech Bankruptcy" due to the impossible task of making any BF game a current fad BR game, and then attempt the second near impossible task of switching the BR game back to a classic BF game "with all hands on deck" over a short few months before launch...¯\_(ツ)_/¯
