Join the crowd. :) I have been having issues like this for over 2 months. I usually just go to the EAAnticheat folder and run the installer again or the repair. I also run the repair on BF2042. I also delete the BF2042 Cache. I run SFC /scannow and DISM just for fun with no issues ever found. I also tried about 20 different NVidia drivers and used DDU to uninstall the old one first. Now I just stay with the latest driver. Some people mention turning off XMP in BIOS for your RAM. Also turn off EA in game overlay. Tried everything and still have issues with crashing while playing Conquest 64. My specs:
Asus Z690 Maximus Hero 64GB RAM, RTX5070, i713700k, Water cooling etc etc...
Some days are better than others but I haven't been able to play for 3 hours straight ever. Sometime I can play 3 maps in a row and no issues, then after that the day is ruined. Other days it crashes a few minutes into the first game. Other times I get the 1-2 second mini freezes that ruin the game as I always get killed after it happens due to the delay.

I have it happen where it's a total freeze and only a hard restart (hold power button) will recover it, and I mainly get the crash where the BF2042 game crashes completely disappearing from the desktop while the EA app remains and I can just restart the game. I have also had crashes with DXGI errors that say they are caused by "physically removing the GPU" or a GPU driver issue. :) LOL. In the event viewer it almost always shows EAAnticheat as the issue with an error 0xC0000005. Numerous issues that vary all the time but the EAAnticheat seems to be the most common.
