BF 2042 Cross progression from Xbox to PC not working

My Xbox and Steam accounts are both connected to EA (and always have been). My progression for Battlefield 2042 is on Xbox but will not transfer over to PC-Steam, although it's supposed to. EA Support says it's a bug and they're supposed to be looking into it. It's so frustrating because I would like to play....today.
