BF2042 - Failed to launch game - and further problems with EA app/licensing

Sounds like a lot of good advice.  I would suggest trying that last resort and updating the BIOS, then let everyone know what happens.  Have you tried playing on someone else's computer by logging into their EA app and trying to play?  Just a suggestion.

Same problem for me, after bf6 beta cannot start bf2042...

Might be a little trivial but have you tried opening the game without internet connection? If you use Wi-Fi disable it, and if you're wired just disable your network card from control panel.
It worked on BF6 to bypass secure boot requirements, so worth checking.

I have had 3 matches now with no more crashing. The issue for me started when I had to turn secure boot on for the new EA anti cheat. There was a patch for secure boot issues in the new BIOS that i downloaded. Give it a go.

Updating BIOS is the only thing I've left to do, except hardware changes. I'm a little afraid to brick my computer, but this might be the last resort.

I did a reboot trying to disable Secure Boot again, but then i was asked for the BitLocker recovery key, I didnt wanna to down that path. Secure boot now has the factory keys implemented and is turned on. 

I have allready made new Windows users and complete reinstall, both for Win10 and also Win11, the same problem occure. Doest that point a longer finger towards BIOS issue?

Ive spent a good 10 hours trying everything to fix a similar issue, link below.

I just updated my BIOS to the latest version which had a patch for secure boot, I just played my first game of 2042 in a long time, Still got some testing to do but this has been the only thing that worked, and i tried a lot of different options.

Yes, a new account can rule out profile corruption, but in this case the problem is caused by Javelin Anti cheat and EA server side license issues, so a new user won’t solve the underlying issue. GG's

I get your point about drivers being kernel-based, but that’s not the reason I suggested creating a new Windows user.

Many EA App and Battlefield issues are not caused by the driver itself, but by corrupted user-profile data (registry keys, AppData configs, cached licenses, permission issues, etc.). When you create a fresh Windows user, you get a clean AppData, Documents, and registry hive. This eliminates the possibility that leftover EA App configs, broken cache, or profile-bound license data are blocking the game.

It’s not meant to “fix” the driver, but to rule out environment corruption on the main account. If the game works on the new user, then we know the root cause is in the original profile, not in the global system. That’s why this step is used in troubleshooting by many publishers (Microsoft, Ubisoft, Steam, etc.) when games fail to launch.

"Then create a new Windows user (don't delete the main)." This won't change a single thing, don't do this. Drivers are kernel based and the problem will be exactly the same. 

Fully remove the Javelin Anti-Cheat driver and all EA App data, then reinstall the EA App and relink your account. If the games still fail, request a server-side license reset from EA support.

You've tried a lot of things, so I'll give you a temporary solution until a member of the technical team can help you.

1 - Uninstall the EA app and Battlefield using the Revo uninstaller app.
2 - Then create a new Windows user (don't delete the main).
3 - Reinstall the EA app and game on your new user. 
4 - Try playing the game again after installing it on the new user.
