BF2042 Is using 100% of my ram when i tab out and when i tab back in!

When I'm in any game mode and i tab out and tab back in bf2042 starts using 100% of my ram and causing stuttering that makes the game unplayable. I'm not sure what the issue is but if anyone could help it would be amazing. I have tried a lot of solutions to fix this including:

-Drivers up to date

-In game settings are low

-Making bf2042 run high performance in windows settings

-Closing all running programs on task manager but bf2042 and it was still using 100% of my ram

-The only fix i found was restarting after tabbing out or after every game

SYSTEM SPECS:

CPU- I9 12900K

GPU- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080

MEMORY- Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz

I also included my DXdiag.txt

Clips showing the stuttering(THE CLIP SIZE WERE TO BIG BUT TO SEE IT JUST COPY THE LINK BELOW IN A BROWSER):

I also included a photo of my task manager in game.

Again if anyone can find a fix that works it would be amazing!

  • I have just tried all 3 of those steps and bf2042 is still using 100% of my ram. Thanks for letting me know about those steps because some of my drivers i though were updated were not.

Good to hear. This means one of the things you disabled are causing this. What you now need to do is slowly re-enable your stuff again until you find the cause.

Just keep re-enabling half to eliminate half until you find it.

When i enable those Nvidia options its spikes my ram in game so anyone with this issue has to disable them until they get fixed.

Those disabled just means you cant access GeForce experience or the shadow play function.

This works for me but could be different with other people.

To access system configuration from the taskbar, search System Configuration. Select the top result, System Configuration desktop app and go to the services tab. Make sure to check the box "Hide all Microsoft services".
