Hey, folks.
I wanted to give an update on this one. The studio team is aware and is reviewing the data shared here. Thank you to everyone who has dropped in their info and steps, and to those who got it to work. It has been a huge help.
At the moment, there is no new update regarding players being unable to join specific modes or maps.
As soon as we have more information to share, we will update this thread, so please keep an eye on it for any new details.

I have confirmed that my main account I've played on PC with Xbox controller for years on works fine. However my other account that's newer, low level and just for practicing key and mouse or casual play without a dozen friends all trying to party up and play till 2am expecting me to sweat, has the issue being described my many. The issue has also happened trying to load solo/co-op.

Game repair, clear ea cache, restart, clear dns cache, changed network protocols, removed gpu/cpu overclocks, confirmed non issue with other ea account on same pc.
The fact that this occurs on the exact same PC that switches accounts sometimes (yeah, I bought the game twice) says quite a lot about the issue not being local and being on EA's end.- EA_Shepard17 days ago

In your documents folder, do you have multiple folders with PROFSAVE files, or just one?

Omg a reply to a reply! Seriously I've been posting here for a while trying to push attention to issues and starting cases and this has never happened. I'm very grateful!
Both accounts are through EA App, no Steam. I have a single PROFSAV file I regularly backup from my main account in case EA Cloud overwrites something undesirable from any sync that occurs. Additionally, I have made changes on one account (colorblind settings, controller aim settings, graphics) and found the next day the other account to share those settings, confirming local PROFSAV sync to Cloud overwrites for both accounts and there is no additional PROFSAV unique to each account per one install of the game. Which is preferable as it means I don't have to backup PROFSAV too often, if at all.
Yesterday after experiencing the issue, replying to your post on this thread with my issue and going back to game shortly after, everything was fine. Worked no problem on Conquest, Breakthrough, either on Solo/Co-op, Rush Override etc... However, today I entered an aim trainer portal to practice key and mouse as I switch from controller which worked fine, wanted breakthrough solo which unfortunately will not go beyond black screen after the brief search for a match using solo option. I confirmed my usual account though has no such issue.

A couple of things on the system look out of date and are worth updating:
- Your NVIDIA driver is not on the latest Game Ready version, according to the file you attached.
- You're currently on 595.97, and NVIDIA has a newer driver, 596.21 or 596.36 (as of today). (NVIDIA)
- Your ASUS Essence STX II audio driver is very old. The file shows a 2014 driver installed, and ASUS lists the latest posted driver for that card as version 8.1.11.5 from 2019-12-25. (asus.com)
- Your Intel Ethernet/LAN driver also appears to be outdated. The system is using a 2021 driver, and Intel’s newer Network Connections Software release is much more recent. (Intel Drivers)
There is an EA-related error with the EA app:
- RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64
- process: EACefSubProcess.exe
- version: 13.690.0.6203
That looks like an EA app subprocess memory leak/resource leak warning, not the primary graphics/game crash you are having. It is relevant, but it is a secondary issue compared with the NVIDIA TDR events.

locationofdad Thank you. When you get a chance, can you log into the Xbox, and under manage games, delete the profile data for BF6, reboot, and - if you can - connect to a hotspot and not your normal connection?

No worries, happy to help.
I did a fresh install on Xbox and deleted the local save data and breakthrough connected and worked for the two games I tried to connect to.
I then tried the same on ps5 pro, fresh install and wipe local save data but this time the issue remained.
Xbox testing was done on normal WiFi network.
PS5 testing was done on both normal WiFi and hotspot on mobile data.
So perhaps the issue is more focused on the playstation side ?

Zero point for some reason, loading from black screen back to game lobby

All night to 7 May 4AM (UTC +3) black screen when match found and throwing back to main menu. After that all works fine until now. Matches with bots are still working.

Hosts is clear and i now did reset of network stack. Still the same issue. Starting search - Game Finded - Black screen - throwing back in main menu with rejection sound and no visual errors. COOP with bots is working, TDM is also working, but not default conquest or breakthrough with players.

Hello, hope this is still valid, just found this thread after this issue started a week ago on 2042.

Date/time issue occurred? all times attempted from May 3, 2026 to present, various times mostly 4 PM-8PM EST
What type of issue do you have? When matchmaking from mainmenu into any mode except TDM and (now changed) Rush Override, will say match found, countdown, black screen, returns to lobby and matchmaking has stopped.
Summarize your bug: Same as above except now includes the new weekly (King of the Hill) and FNB feature, with an added note that I can join friends in their party into their game and then continue matchmaking with them. However if they also encounter the issue, then its the same thing
How often does the bug occur? It seems to be whenever I try to matchmake into a larger than TDM sized game, because Rush Override (4 players) and TDM (around 20 most times I play) work fine.

elephantsgerald No worries about the file; if it isn't there, that is okay. That just means the game doesn't load enough for a file to generate. It may be in the WER in your DXDiag, though.
I updated the Pinned Message with more info. Can you check it out and let me know if anything has changed?

I've managed to generate the DxDiag as I just learned what and how. Not sure what I'm looking at although I see 1 through 9 WER sections at the bottom, hopefully that is helpful to you and the rest of the Operation Broken Matches Strike Team (feel free to use that). I generated DxDiag1 earlier today before deleting folders, repairing game, and flushing DNS, set my VPN's custom DNS to cloudfare, and DxDiag2 is just now after doing those things. I attached both in case there are any discrepancies that might be informative.
The pattern is still the same, that being: a 1-2 game match-and-load-in maximum before having to restart the game, regardless of which mode, and only Conquest and TDM work on my own. When successfully loaded into Conquest, only six of the 128 maps (Breakaway, Orbital, Manifest, Spearhead, Flashpoint, Exposure) are possible to match-and-load-in; TDM will match-and-load-in 1-2 games regardless of map; Breakthrough has yet to load into any games after matching, not even empty lobbies. Then I have to just restart the game, maybe do App Recovery in the EA App, rinse and repeat.
Furthermore, I cannot join Conq64 games at all, even through joining a friend, which does work for the few 128 maps I mentioned. When I click the Join Game option for the 64 games, nothing happens at all, not even an attempted load-in. (Sidenote, when I match on my own into El Alamein or Battle of the Bulge Conq64, the music for those maps loads in, and continues to play even after being booted back to the lobby, until another successful load-in happens, I don't know if that makes any difference.)
I was however able to join a Breakthrough match through a friend via the Join Game option, and it subsequently matched and loaded in two more times after that round. When I joined, my ping indicated my local US East server, then the next match, the ping went up to seemingly US West level (from ~10ms to ~70ms) and then back down to US East for the third match. Then it stopped loading in again.
Also, when I'm in a party with my friend on PS5 as the leader, they've managed to match us into both Breakthrough and Conq64 for 1-2 games and I load into them fine before it stops working for everybody after those few times. I just cannot on my own match-and-load-into either one of those, or any of the other 128 maps, etc.
As you can probably tell from my laptop specs, I can't really play 128 games without it being a time-travel experience, which is why generally I only play Breakthrough or the Conq64 games. So playing these few games that I can load into, well let's just say I've gotten really good at spotting. Anyways, hope this info is useful, looking forward to you and the Taskforce solving this crisis, thanks again

Hello, I just bought the game a few days ago, and immediately ran into this issue, information below.

May 8 2026, and today, May 9 2026, every single time I try to join an online lobby in conquest and breakthrough, multiple times at different points throughout the day
Issue: As described by the post, I launch the matchmaking, it takes around 4 seconds and finds a game, the countdown elapses and I get redirected to a black screen as if I'm about to load into the match, even map specific music (like ardennes) will start playing. Around 10 seconds later, I get immediately booted back into the lobby without any message, error message, pop up, or any info at all. Bug has been occurring every single time I try to join a conquest or breakthrough online match, I haven't been able to play a single online match since I bought the game a few days ago.
Peripherals: HyperX pulsefire FPS mouse, HyperX Alloy FPS pro tenkeyless keyboard, HyperX cloud 7.1 headset, Redragon standalone microphone
GPU: Zotac 2070 super AMP Extreme
RAM: 32GB

Thanks for the reply. No, I never was part of any test for 2042. I do not see any addons that can be installed. I do not have EA play on the same account. I did swap between full-screen and borderless and nothing has changed. Also, looking at your other replies, I'll prefire by saying I don't use any VPN, I don't have a firewall issue as far as I know of, I am usually assigned to the EU region, and the only thing that seems to work for me right now is Portal.
