Hi - I've been playing most of the BF series for years on a now very old rig - 6 years plus - I'm running an i7-4790k CPU gigabyte MB which I believe after a lot of googling doesn't have a TPM module / chipset - therefore Im not eligable for win11 but more importantly I can no longer play BF2042 as of this week afer many years service - my only go to game. I've looked through the you tube vids about changing the bios settings but don't have the options to enable secure boot due to the TPM issue - it's greyed out and the only workaround is to use RUFUS apparently which ignores the system requirements for win 11 and may alow the game to play for awhile longer. Not being that computer savy does anyone know if with my current rig if there is a workaround or has my gaming rig just aged out and is now effectively useless for me to play the game please? EA - why no workaround or plan for aged motherboards?
How old is your Motherboard? Mine is from 2020 and TPM + Secure Boot is available.
Also you don't need to use Rufus and reinstall your windows to modify system requirements for win 11. Simply use Microsoft Official Bypass.
I have no idea if it works with EA's Secure Boot detection tho.
