I have an MSI GS65 bought 4 years ago, (still runs all I want), but the latest versions of MSI center or Dragon center, do not run well on my laptop and do not control the fans, not even the MSI After Burner worked.
I found a way around, I set up my fans in Dragon center into advance mode, to go fast with high temps, then closed and uninstalled Dragon center... now the fan setup stayed, and I can play games.
I left the installer nearby in case I need to install, modify, and uninstall again.... lame but it is working.
I'm at the same point as you, but upon reboot, the fan settings weren't saved. Only Dragon Center version 2.6 works for me. Without it configured, I get terrible thermal throttling, even with liquid metal. It's a shame. Does anyone know how to control the fans without causing conflicts?
