Failed to launch game "Error on our end"

I tried playing 2042 but every time i boot the game its a black windowed application where briefly the title "battle field 2042" is shown in the top left corner of the application but very quickly loses the name and that has been the immediate tell tale that the game wont load after numerous attempts to boot. Looking at you tube videos and reddit i disabled EA overlay, NVidia overlay ( and enabled) and the game fails to boot saying error on our end. I attempted to repair the game installation, no improvement. I uninstalled the game and re installed the game, no changes. Running the game as administrator does not correct the concern. I attempted to file EA error reporter, not sure if i will hear back from that. How can I get this game to work? --- My game crashed last night and attempted to restart but was met with this error continuously.

  • I have the same issue, you are not alone m8. ;'(

I have tried many different potential solutions to this problem with game launch and unfortunately nothing worked for me so far... ;'(

I found an interesting post here on these forums, maybe you can check it out and it might help you fix this. Here is a link: https://forums.ea.com/discussions/ea-app-technical-issues-en/failed-to-launch-game-an-error-on-our-end-for-multiple-games-any-fixes/12494514/replies/12534913

Good luck m8 and see you on the battlefields. ;)

Hi m8, yes. For me, the only solution that worked was clean installing older Nvidia drivers (version 577.0) for my graphics card... For some weird reason, the latest/newer Nvidia drivers are crashing BF2042 for me every time I try to launch the game... So, I strongly recommend to clean install an older Nvidia driver (version 577.0). Thank you Steeve_BF for your troubleshooting guide and your suggestion to rollback to an older Nvidia driver. This is what finally solved my problem... Steeve_BF, You are a legend m8. 😎😉😄🤗🫂🙏

Nice, I tried installing Windows updates from around 28th of August 2025, but that didn't work for me. The only solution that worked for me was to clean install an older Nvidia driver (version 577.0) for my graphics card... Nvidia plz... 😎😉😄😆 See you guys on the battlefields... 😎😉
