Game continues to use 100% CPU since Season 3 update, now in Season 4

I have the same issue, introduced with Season 3 (I skipped Season 2). I haven't been able to play since because of the 100% CPU issue which introduces keyboard input lag.

I've tried the user.cfg fix that has been thrown around, but it doesn't help overall. It lowers the CPU usage to about 80% and fixes the keyboard input lag when there aren't many players around me, but as soon as I get into the fight, the CPU goes back to 100% and the movement starts lagging heavily again.

Everything else works fine. I can aim and shoot fine; the frames are fine.

It's just sad and infuriating that after such a long time, the devs don't have a working fix. It feels like they don't even want to fix it.

I am unable to play BF2042 due to my CPU being at 100% utilization. I experience severe input lag and frequently hear the same beeping noise that you get when you reset your graphics driver using Shift+CTRL+Win+B, but it sometimes beeps multiple times. It's so incredibly annoying that this game is still unplayable after all of this time. Most annoyingly, I can't submit a support ticket with EA to get a direct response. Pretty much tells me everything I need to know about the company. If anyone is able to help, it would be appreciated.

CPU: i7-9700k

RAM: 32GB

GPU: 3090

i have the same issue with my system i have a fresh install of windows 10 with just games installed and some software for my pc i have a i7 8700k 4.5Ghz and a 3060 ti and 32gb of ram and using a ssd i was able to play ultra maxed out 1440p no issues in season 3 and below but now season 4 came out high settings i get 40-50-60 fps and low settings i get 60 if i am lucky because my cpu is getting torched by this game 100% all the time and my gpu is at 50-60% 

I get this same issue, I've tried turning off every application except 2042, it seems to get progressively worse over time. It will only be a second of input lag, then over the course of 10-20 min, it will just be 5 seconds of input lag no matter which key I press.CPU is 100%, fans spinning so hard my pc is about to take flight. My friend's pc has worse specs than mine but doesn't get this issue though surprisingly.

Recently reinstalled BF2042 and I'm constantly having my CPU max out at 100% then drop down for a few seconds then back to 100%. Its impossible to play. Fresh windows install, Up-to-date on the latest drivers, and nothing running in the background. Only started happing when I came back to BF2042. No prior issues before.

PC specs:

Intel i7 10700K 3.8Ghz

RTX 270 8gb

16gb DDR4 2930 Mhz

Edit: I'm honestly thinking about taking legal action/s at this point. This is ridiculous!

Hi, Today I tried to launch Bf2042 on my new laptop but when I went into the game it was unplayable

It looks like my CPU is used at 100% so it makes the TN going at 600-1500 ms

I searched for a fix and I found everywhere that I had to create a user.cfg file in the main folder of the game, that's what I added in:

Thread.MaxProcessorCount 3

Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0

Thread.JobThreadPriority 0

GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 12

Unfortunatly it didn't fixed my problem, I hope someone could help me !

Hello, same here with 13900k and 3090 in wqhd.  what the ***?

Having the same issue and opened a separate thread about it. Have tried every troubleshooting solution I could find.
