Hello. I have a problem with BF 2042. Need Help!

This is the problem.
I used to play a lot of BF 2024, but I stopped for a while.
Now I decided to return, but I encountered a technical issue.
After launching the game, it freezes completely after 10-15 seconds and crashes.
Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that the processor is also overloaded by almost 100%.
The game has been checked for errors, the drivers are updated, there are no viruses, and SecureBoot is also enabled.
I would appreciate any assistance.

  • Ok, so I made some progress on my stutters and freezes with my RTX5070. I found where somebody figured out that turning off ambient occlusion and adjusting a couple of other lighting related settings fix it. I am very happy about that. But after testing it for a 3 hour game session in BF2042 I had two hard crashes where the BF2042 just shuts down completely and the EA App stays open. The event viewer shows this:

Hard to read but it says this:

The description for Event ID 1 from source Application cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

    EAAntiCheatService
The game bf2042.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0xC0000005

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

So should I remove and reinstall the EAAnticheat app?

    Thanks

  • Ok, so I uninstalled the EAAnticheat and reinstalled it. Played BF2042 and first game worked perfectly, the second game was half or more played and then I got the crash that this time showed the image of BF2042 frozen on the screen. I got the following error message which of course cannot be captured with a screenshot just to make me have to type it all into notepad. arrrgghh:

DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. ") GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070", Driver: 68115. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing: try installing the ;attest drivers. DeviceRemoved Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED (" The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. ")

And this in the event viewer:
The description for Event ID 1 from source Application cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

    EAAntiCheatService
The game bf2042.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0x887A0005

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

  • So I write up a detailed tech support report and heard nothing back after 3 or 4 days and when I go to check my account, it shows I have no current cases. What a waste of time . . .
