Which service is the trial through? Are you subscribed to any other services on Xbox?
Yes it does have the ea play logo in the store, so i think its from ea play. But why can i play it on another account without ea play? Im only subscribed to game pass core atm.
I don't know why there's a trial for Battlefield 2042 on another account. EA Play trials last for 10hrs of gameplay then the trial expires.
The full crossgen version of Battlefield 2042 is included with an EA Play subscription.
You can probably buy the disc version cheap. Best Buy in USA is selling Xbox Series disc version for $10 brand new. Keep in mind the disc version doesn't include crossgen, meaning it only comes with Xbox Series edition of the game and doesn't include Xbox One edition.
