Hey EA,
I've been playing BF in all its forms since inception. Now I can't play because you've put a ridiculous requirement in your software :( I can't turn on Secure boot on my machine!!! Why, because I have some old Euphonix hardware audio and video control panels for mixing music and color correcting video. These pieces of hardware cost well more than a PC and haven't been supported by the vendor for years, but they still work great on Windows 11, as long as, you guessed it-> secure boot is OFF. If I turn it on I lose the ability to edit video and mix music. Sorry, but that isn't going to happen. Out of of the many software packages and plugins on my 14000k i9 with 128 GB RAM and 4090 GPU only ONE piece of software requires Secure boot and it is Battlefield 2042 which I started playing at release. Way to lose a customer and on a game that is 3.5 years old. Why? Because of cheaters? I honestly haven't seen any in BF2042 and I've logged around 2500 hours. Now if your talking ALL previous BF titles...tons of cheaters and pretty easy to spot. Please reconsider and get rid of this new requirement so we can go back to playing the game we love.

The only work around I know of is buying a second SSD, install Win11 and Battlefield on it. Then toggle secure boot on/off while dual booting between SSD drives.
It's also possible to create multiple partitions on a SSD and dual boot two Win11 installs, but it sounds like you have valuable data so I wouldn't risk doing that without backing up the data first. Then restoring the backups to make sure they work.
I like to use Macrium Reflect for backing up data. It will backup everything including hidden files and folders.

Thanks for the tips. Not going to go the dual boot route. Done that before and it adds a lot of hassle to things like OS updates and is generally a pain in the neck. Not worth it for one game, even though it was my favorite!

I can agree with you on that cheaters part.. Me with my over 1000h have met only 3 cheaters I think.. Moving with super speed like some Flash lol.
