There are quite a few people suffering with this - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Losing-all-keyboard-and-mouse-input/m-p/10978785. The game seems to have an issue when USB devices such as a USB headset (just headphones - no mic) is attached, in my case. A few others have mentioned this being the case for them as well. This shouldn't happen and it's a clear fault with the game since it doesn't occur with any other title.
Can confirm USB devices can cause this, often have joysticks plugged in to play flight sim game... 2042 stutters horribly unless I unplug them, I use a USB headset too, so there is still some lag left over unless I use speakers... can't believe this isn't tested for these days :/
- @BgT1990 Yeah, I usually have a joystick and rudder peddles plugged in, but this unfortunately breaks some games. I thought this could be the issue for me but I still keep getting the glitch with nothing but my keyboard and mouse plugged in.
I think this might be fixed with the season 1 patch... when I tried it out last night, I forgot to unplug my joysticks and the game didn't stutter at all any more like it used to. I was actually able to play well and have fun!
Hopefully it has been sorted for everyone here, but I can't say for sure if I just got lucky, probably worth a test, good luck!
