It doesn't matter if Webroot is causing the game to not load up. No one should have to uninstall virus protect and leave their PC open to attack because of YOUR SCREWUP. YOU need to fix this issue because no other games are having problems with Webroot. You are responsible for this issue and it is your job to either fix this or give people their money back, because no one should have to leave their PC defenseless just to play your game.
@EA_Barry seriously can we get any kind of update on this? The game is literally, actually unplayable. Only an issue since the new update. Uninstalling the anti virus isn't a fix.
Honestly WTH is going on. I Finally got my PC fixed and now i can't even play the game as of today. I have been waiting to play for over 2 weeks now. I updated the game, it starts to lunch then nothing. I tried repairing the game nothing. Also tried running a admin nothing. 100 gigs on my hard drive that is unplayable.

They aren't going to fix it. They haven't replied at all to our valid concerns. What they are quick to fix is removing any forum post criticizing the game. If EA support's response is to just link you the first articles that pop up on Google, do you actually expect them to keep even a single thread or individual updated? Your answer should be a resounding no.

I will be on the phone in my scheduled call with the Escalation Manager in 30min (5:30pm). Hopefully I can get this resolved tonight. Ill keep everyone updated.
Following the link, Webroot was able to resolve the issue with the original commenter's issue. According to his newest reply, they are now working on an update to resolve for all BF2042 users.

15 minutes on the phone with the Escalation Manager and the issue is now fixed for me and I can launch the game again, without the need to uninstall the game. He did the same as the link above, where he ended certain processes and now the game launches. Said they will be pushing out an update soon to all who own SA.
@xGBx_Boogie was it exactly as the steps in the link above? That is awesome. Glad to know Webroot, who's gotta be like 1/40th the size of EA has someone there who wants to fix bugs they didn't even create so their users can continue to use their product. Good on you for getting that done.
