Please Help: EA AntiCheat error ( 7 ) ( 2 )

I purchased Battlefield 2042 last night and spent a few hours updating drivers, mic settings, downloading, setting up key binds in game etc etc. played a few rounds before bed. today when I went to play the game I got an error.

"EA AntiCheat Service encountered an error. Please restart the game.: C\Program Files\EA\AC\EAAntiCheat.GameService.exe ( 7 ) ( 2 )"

I have of course tried the fix below that you guys keep copy pasting. Just like everyone else in here says, it does not work.

"This happens when EA anticheat can't find the installation folder or can’t start the game. There are two ways to fix this.

  • Relaunch the EA app (even if you got the game on Steam or the Epic Games Store) as an admin by right-clicking on it and choosing Run As Administrator. Then, relaunch the game from the EA app directly.
  • Reinstall EA anticheat.

Thanks."

I have fully uninstalled/reinstalled Battlefield 2042 and the EA app/launcher or whatever you call it. I have even spent a couple hours scouring the internet and trying anything I see people recommending.

most importantly, the game did run for a few hours last night, and nothing has changed since then. I don't have any special software running or whatever this anti cheat is looking for. Please advise what the next course of action is.

According to the error it appears EA AntiCheat can't locate where Battlefield 2042 files are located.

You mention %appdata% folder being on drive letter G. Is this the %appdata% folder that's usually located at C:\users\username\appdata?

Thank you for the reply @OskooI_007! any help or suggestions are appreciated. I am just throwing darts blindfolded at this point hahaha.

I got to step 3 of your post and I can't find/search EA AntiCheat Installer in Microsoft add/remove programs. checked ccleaner too real quick to see if it showed up there

since my last post, I tried uninstalling Battlefield 2024 and the EA app thing completely from my C drive again, and installing it to my G drive (separate gaming drive). that's where my %appdata% folder and big programs go (I try to use C for windows and smaller files only). still got the same error code of ( 7 ) ( 2 ) on first load attempt with it configured that way. when I close and reopen it configured that way, it gives code ( 2 ) (1052 ). idk, probly doesn't help, just trying to put as much info out there as possible

ok - heading back to the dart board, wish me luck lol
