@EA_Leeuw Thanks for the reply! I just tried to disable the firewall and as many background processes as possible (it seems like I don't have the Killer network adapter), but the error persists so far.
My PC disconnected from the Wi-Fi after noticing the signal had no network access. But when it reconnects, the issue is gone temporarily. It either disconnects me during gameplay or comes out during the next launch.
I'll try to launch the game in Windows safe mode when I get a USB-C to Ethernet adapter and see if the problem still occurs.

Yeah, if you could give eithernet a try, that would be neat. It's also possible that it's a WiFi adapter driver related issue.

Hi there,
Has there been a fix for this, as this is a problem that has been happening to my PC for the last couple of weeks.
Randomly kills my internet connection and I can restore it by resetting modem. Really annoying, sometimes I can make it through a few games, sometimes not even a full match.

It doesn't seem like it is a widespread issue, if I search through our forums, therefore it allows me to believe that it could very well be related to your own setup. There are numerous things that can cause this issue; malfunctioning PC drivers, a too strict firewall/antivirus, a break in your connection (cable or wifi), modem/router rules/ports that are too strict, modem/router firmware not knowing what to do with the traffic, etc. etc.

I actually got a couple of fixes. Sorry for not posting them lately:
1. I used an SD card to store the game on my laptop and that solves the problem, not sure if it's because it completely isolates the game from windows. Not sure about this weird theory.
2. Plugging an Ethernet cable would also solve the problem since my laptop only disconnects from Wi-Fi, not a cabled connection.
3. I was using a Verizon router, and it seems that causes the real issue with the game. I went to my friend's house and tested it under her Verizon router using her desktop, and it had exactly the same problem. I bought a gaming router recently and used Open NAT in the network settings, which completely solved the issue (no ethernet cable or SD card). If you don't have Open NAT, try port forwarding. You can Google the ports 2042 is using, and you'll see a list of them. Just put all the ports into the setting and restart the router.
4. Also, if you open up the network debug plot in the game and you see periodic ping pulses when your network becomes laggy, that is probably due to a bad signal or traffic. Try some load balancing or signal enhancement strategy, providing that your router has those settings.

I started playing again 2 days ago, have had the issue twice. Has completely turned off the internet while using. Contacted PlayStation and they have told me it's likely an issue on your end because my account plays many multiplayer games that are similar and do not have the same issue. I contacted your help desk and they have told me it's my ISP. I have contacted my ISP and they have told me without going into the account that the most likely reason is your getting a surge in packets which is crashing your ISP. Equivalent to DDoSing. Will be calling ISP later with my partner to verify that's the cause.
I hope you can take this issue further up, I play all triple A games and this is the only one that does this.

@B_Machine P.S your customer service centre didn't take it as seriously as they should. A game that disrupts internet connection completely is a game doomed for the grave. Furthermore when sending me an email asking if I need help to contact you they sent it in Portugese. I speak English and spoke English through the entire chat. The first email was even in English.

Hey @B_Machine,

Because we so no other reports about these sorts of events, it's very likely that this is caused by your own setup. It's possible that your modem, router, or another network device, is not able to handle the network connection and therefore cuts the connection or lets some equipment crash.

I would recommend checking the logs of your network devices, either modem or router, to see if you can spot any weird events. It's possible that only your ISP can do this for you.

@EA_Leeuw I have the modem that my internet provider gave me, no other game I have played has this issue so I fail to believe there is a fault with my internet. On both occurances it was between loading maps. A quick Google search says multiple people have had this issue. If it doesn't happen on the 70+ multiplayer games I have played, why does it only happen when I play bf2042? I haven't had time to check with ISP even if I did it's periodically. You have now been told by 2 different users that your game has interfered with their internet. Acknowledge and fix the issue before the game is pure AI. If my internet provider states it was fault on your end, how would you fix and compensate those effected? I didn't agree in the TnCs that you could effect the status of my internet modem and if it says it can restart your internet in the TnCs I wouldn't have signed them.

Ok, youre sure nothing is blockinmg youre wifi signal ?
Console somewhere below tv or something ? , Cables ? Other devices that block wifi cause they are to close to the console ?

@Rokebo73 I would have to record off my phone and walk over to my modem, it resets it completely. I haven't run a program, game or anything ever that has reset my internet modem. My phone, laptop everything disconnects and the lights on modem change colour

@Rokebo73 Furthermore I use to play the ps5 version which was double the players when game released and first few weeks in. This issue has occured in the past year or 2 and I have only noticed it on first day back on the game since a long break. This issue wasn't present prior with a higher network load why is it present now on my ps4 with half the players. Sony have confirmed their console is not capable of doing that and it's an issue with either the host or my ISP. My ISP said the only explanation would be a surge in packets from host. Which means a problem with EA servers. If this issue happened at any other point in my life I wouldn't care so much but this is the only game and I feel like they shouldn't be allowed to do that.

@Rokebo73 I checked it out, my router is relatively new I would have received same year this game released. ethernet cable is fine and has no issues. Connectivity to call of duty, GTA 5, apex, war thunder, ESO and ark are all flawless. Internet speed is constant all day with it varying from 80mbps to 100mbps. This issue only happens periodically when playing only this game and so far only in team Deathmatch game mode. First time it was between games and the 2nd was when I went to load it up. It's as if it went to connect to game but instead my internet crashed.

I just want this info to check for some more info ab out those devices !

@Rokebo73 I will just contact ISP and see what the issue was it would be easier. It's likely what the technician said which was a burst of packets from host. (Essentially a DDoS from the game)

This is what I mean by that it is possible that your modem/router can't handle the network traffic the game needs.

This has nothing to do with DDoS.
