Re: Ping is fine but extreme packet loss every game. Help me pls.

Hey @Jh0var,

Oh wow, a PL out of 17%... That is indeed a lot, I have to say. Every % matters.

So just to double check, you didn't experience this before, right? It only happens since a couple of days?

@Jh0var, I see, that's very odd indeed. In these kinds of situations it is very likely that someone changed on your connection from within your household, or from your household to the Battlefield servers.

We have some connection troubleshooting steps available that you maybe can give a try to see if these can fix it for you. If not, I would highly recommend to get in touch with your ISP as soon as possible.

I have run several ping tests and packet loss tests on my pc, the results all turned out to be fine. It seems only happen when I play battlefield 2042.

@Jh0var, that could very well be the case, almost as if something that is configured on your local connection, or over at your ISP, is interfering with the Battlefield 2042 connection.

I have spoke with my ISP, and they did some comfiguration on the modem and said everything is fine on their end. Then I tried again, the packet loss is still high at 20 percent. I am really confusde by now. The game is literally unplayable with such huge packet loss.

@EA_Leeuw Do you have an update on such issue? Is it a common issue after the update? I almost want to give up trying, it is so tiresome

    Hey @Jh0var,

I, unfortunately, do not have any updates available for you, I am not aware of any problems with the game itself that could be causing these issues for you.

Can you maybe test your connection via this website and post a screenshot here in the thread?

@EA_LeeuwI am also getting terrible lag to servers and packet loss since 1.0 update, nothing on this end has changed, friend also has same issue. Sometimes its unplayable. This has happened ONLY since the 1.0 update. Have checked everything, made sure all ports are open across TCP and UDP (they were anyway from previous BF games). Something has changed since that update.

    Hey @NBKTHE1,

I recommend taking a look at the connection troubleshooting steps that are posted on the previous page of this thread.

If they didn't help you, I would recommend getting in touch with your ISP.

@EA_Leeuw Hi — I have been through the steps, also contact ISP a few days ago and there are no issues their end.

As you have been replying to people about network issues since the 1.0 patch, clearly something has happened server side (even DNS side) at EA's end.

    Thanks

@EA_Leeuw I even tried to reinstall the game and now I can’t even open the game the error is “ DirectX function "hr" failed with DXGI ERROR DEVICE REMOVED

@EA_Leeuw I also have been having the same issue after the update, but issue just started happening the past couple of weeks. it's strange the issue only happens with BF2042 on my pc, packet loss out can reach as high as 45%. I've noticed it while in vehicle and on foot. i'm also getting issues where i'm using the recon drone and when exiting ADS is gone and no matter how many times i shoot someone no hits are registering.

same. it was driving me bonkers. i ended up using DDU to uninstall all drivers and do a clean install of previous NVIDIA drivers.
