    Fixed this by disabling 'DAEMON Tools Lite Virtual SCSI Bus'
    Device Manager > Storage controllers > 'DAEMON Tools Lite Virtual SCSI Bus'

    No clue how this got here, never installed Disc Soft tools

    It seems they updated BF2042 AC with Apex L AC

adding to the list of solutions, just found a driver for mouse control that is labeled as Disc Soft. It's underneath the manufacture name. So might be best to get chatgbt to create you a script.
