Forum Discussion
Hi BowWasTaken
First of all, I am a player like you, and this information is easily “found” on the internet.
The EA Terms of Service team has confirmed that your account violated their anti-cheating rules (as you indicated after filing your appeal), leading them to consider this ban permanent. The support team rarely changes its mind about permanent bans, even when users claim they did not intentionally commit any wrongdoing. In your case, try contacting the support team again, invoking your rights under the "Privacy Act 1988". If you still do not receive a favorable response, you can try sending a registered mail to:

AustraliaImportant: There is no official procedure for appealing a ban by mail at EA, but it is a right linked to your country.
The only official channel is the online form with EA support.
And as a reminder, unfortunately, no appeals for bans are accepted on the forum.
I would also like to remind you that your right under the "Privacy Act 1988" is only for obtaining information, not for getting yourself "unbanned".
I have made a small sketch for you so that you can get a general idea of how it works without going into detail:
Good luck 🧐

Thank you for the response and clarification regarding the forum's role in the ban process.
I understand that the forums are not an official channel for appeals, and that the Terms of Service team has the final say in enforcement actions. However, I feel it’s still important to document this experience publicly — not to dispute forum policy, but to highlight the lack of transparency and accountability in the current ban process.
Since my original post, I’ve noticed that the stated reason for my ban has changed to “Gameplay enhancement.” This is a vague and broad term that still provides no specific evidence, no mention of what triggered it, and no opportunity to clarify or contest the underlying data.
I have never used cheats, exploits, or tools to gain unfair advantage. If commonly used software such as Logitech G HUB, Corsair iCUE, or similar utilities triggered this, I believe that would be a false positive and should be manually reviewed.
As mentioned, I have exercised my rights under the Privacy Act 1988 to request access to any data used in the enforcement action, including logs, detections, and internal documentation. While this won’t reverse the decision directly, I believe I am entitled to understand what specifically led to a permanent ban. So thank you for that suggestion.
I appreciate any guidance from the community or moderators on how best to pursue this constructively, and I will continue to follow all official channels as I seek a fair and human-led review.
Thank you again,
BowWasTaken
