I dont remember asking for COD!

Ok so to start, the beta looks awesome graphically and for the most part its not too bad however there are some things i really do not like.

  1. Battlefield has always been about realism so flick look to instant 180 needs to go, permanently. Also the way you can sprint slide, jump and hop around while still being accurate is not battlefield thats cod warzone.
  2. The F16 handles like a **bleep** truck! It is known as the best rate of turn dog fighter there is but it does not handle like a nimble light fighter at all.
  3. Assault should only have 1 primary choose range or cqb not both. Assualt should also have ammo packs.
  4. Support/medic, the hitbox/range for defib should be increased slightly or trigger a mini annimation that brings you into range. LMG doesnt suppress anywhere what it should.
  5. Engineer, seems ok for the moment just suggest carbine as the main weapons.
  6. Scout rifles are interesting they can be good but on some maps its sniper city and there isnt really a counter. If suppression was like previous games where it slightly blurred vision that would give you a chance to shoot suppress move cover repeat until you are safe or can counter them.
  7. Vehicles they are fun but there is never enough and people spam the spawn menu and a microsecond after it is ready its alreafy gone. Has to be a way this can be tuned to give people a chance, maybe increase the cooldown for the person that was just in the jet/chopper/tank or return to the good ol days where its not a menu spawn you actually have to run and jump into it on the ground.
  8. Sound needs work on the hearing other players, the amount of times i was one tapped by othsr players who had sprinted behond me with no sound isnt good.
  9. TTK needs to be reduced massively. Sure a head shot should kill pretty quick but a spray from a smg at 60m shouldnt kill ne in less than 1 second.
  10. Finally its a great start it feels like battlefield is on the right path again. Just dont be afraid to slow it down, emulate Bad company 2 and BF4 and i promise this will do well. Battlefield can be a COD killer as long as it doesnt become its clone!

  • I totally agree with you, I would also include that the shotgun needs to be addressed you are getting one tapped from 100m away by a quick scope or a hip fire is horrible they are going to shotgun snipers everywhere which will tank this game. the same with SMG's they should not be dropping someone from 160m with one burst .

Battlefield has always been about realism so flick look to instant 180 needs to go, permanently.

You already lost me with the far-fetched reasoning against an accessibility option. Battlefield has always been about the fun moment-to-moment arcade gameplay anyway.

Also the way you can sprint slide, jump and hop around while still being accurate is not battlefield thats cod warzone

We had bunny hopping in BF 3, jump crouch skidding, zouzou movement, etc. in BF 4, sliding in BF 1+, higher vaulting and more. At least they are nerfed in BF 6, players who do so and followed it with aiming/ shooting are punished with visual and aim sway which is already great.

Scout rifles are interesting they can be good but on some maps its sniper city and there isnt really a counter.

Use smoke grenades maybe, or DMR? SVK consistently two-shots. We'll probably get more options anyway on release (e.g. smoke GL, Mortar, etc.)

Vehicles they are fun but there is never enough and people spam the spawn menu and a microsecond after it is ready its alreafy gone... increase the cooldown for the person that was just in the jet/chopper/tank

There are mostly 2 kinds of player that are competing for vehicles: vehicle mains or those who use vehicle as a means of transport (takes jet to parachute somewhere or YOLO with IFV or something). As an Infantry main, I only use vehicles when I am redeploying and it is available (no vehicle main is using it). Increasing the cooldown for players that was just in the vehicle will just unnecessarily punish the vehicle mains and allow players who misuse team assets the advantage to waste them.

Assualt should also have ammo packs.

    For self-sustaining grenade spam?

Engineer, seems ok for the moment just suggest carbine as the main weapons

    Why?

  • You forgot to mention that the maps are abysmal, small, too many routes to move through so your just always getting shot in the back which combined with the audio clutter and just lack of footstep audio is just torturous to deal with, as well as the guns having an insane amount of bloom that is barely even helped with Burst firing making mid-long range gun fights just pure Rng. And the Engineer having access to both a stinger and a Rpg at the same times is ridiculous, in general all the classes do have too much utility with the exception of maybe the recon(Just remove his ability to 1 shot body shot because thats just dumb) but I do agree with giving the Assault the ammo pack like in Bad Company and just remove the 2nd Primary weapon and give him the same amount of ammo as everyone else, that class is just Dice once again attempting to reinvent the wheel. But 1 thing I do disagree with is wanting Battlefield to be "Realistic" Battelfield is meant to be middle ground for Milsims not actually be one, some faster paced more agile movement is fine just as long as is doesnt end up like Cod Omni movement bs. But that for me is just a small list of the problems I have with this game and as of rn i wont bother buying it on launch because their whole Design Philosophy they have shown so far indicates to me that the game will be very bad on launch and they wont be able to fix it within the 2 months until launch if they even bother to try too.

I agree with a lot of what's in this message, we didn't ask for COD, we wanted a better BF.
I have played BF since BF2 on PC, and followed it into Console and played each one as it has come out.
This is COD with a little Battlefield aspect thrown in, and disappointing they went that way after the failure of 2042.

    This is fun, but:

    1. It's COD brained. Shoot fast, die fast, spawn fast, move fast and have nothing to show for it. BF is about the long game, not the microsecond one.
    2. Revive paddles are too fast and spazzed out. As a medic, having support and med pack is too much and causes everyone to choose meds for resupply but not actually BE a Medic. These choices do not create dependency on team aspects, but solo runs.
    3. Too fast, all of it. BF isn't about mindless run and gun, its TEAMWORK. Everyone now has the COD mentality to get kills and forget points, not how BF ever worked.  It's not that we can't handle speed, it's that speed isn't what BF is about.
    4. People don't realize how import it is to HOLD revives, not just respawn as fast as possible in Conquest modes or those like it. Where's the TEAM aspect. While these things take time to learn in this game for a new player, there is no incentive or guidance in showing them how to be a team.
    5. Also, no repeated revives on the same team mate even as a medic? What's the point of a medic if you can't keep reviving?
    6. Graphics are awesome, but movement is fake and clunky. COD movement, not BF movement. Reference BFV.
    7. Maps are gorgeous, but if no strategy is used to take advantage of them, what's the point?

There are great bones here, but no real meat.

I realize this is a very negative post on BF, but being an OG player, and seeing all these iterations, this one, aside from the 2042 disappointment, is also another disappointing attempt at BF.  I'd of rather them reboot a Bad Company than fail at this one.

Slow down, promote squad play and leaders. It's ok if it take a few seconds of waiting to spawn back in. It makes people slow down and really be careful when they play, a BF trait, not a COD one.  I'll still be playing on BFV over this long term.

Stop following the masses of COD brains and stay true to the BF fans that made this game continue into 2025. Don't ruin it for us forever EA, we love you, but come on.

  • You already lost me with the far-fetched reasoning against an accessibility option. Battlefield has always been about the fun moment-to-moment arcade gameplay anyway.

Arcade gameplay no not really. It has never been hyper realistic but certainly much more realistic than other franchises. Accessibility option though really?? nope thats a straight up exploitable feature

We had bunny hopping in BF 3, jump crouch skidding, zouzou movement, etc. in BF 4, sliding in BF 1+, higher vaulting and more. At least they are nerfed in BF 6, players who do so and followed it with aiming shooting are punished with visual and aim sway which is already great.

Ive been playing battlefield since well before bf3, and I am confident movement has NEVER been this hyper mobile, you do suffer some aim penalty when doing it but that isnt really my point, previous games movements had a sort of recovery time to them this is almost like freerun parkour in full military kit!

Use smoke grenades maybe, or DMR? SVK consistently two-shots. We'll probably get more options anyway on release e.g. smoke GL, Mortar, etc.

Smoke rounds dont work due to the auto spotting mechanic highlighting you automatically, speaking of which manual spotting is absolutely horrible seems to think i want to point out a nice looking rock instead of the sniper whose head im looking at. Sure other weapons but if i am an assault, support or engineer why would i want to snipe? I shouldnt be forced into that. But you are right there will probably be more stuff on release but i can only comment on what i see here.

There are mostly 2 kinds of player that are competing for vehicles: vehicle mains or those who use vehicle as a means of transport takes jet to parachute somewhere or YOLO with IFV or something. As an Infantry main, I only use vehicles when I am redeploying and it is available no vehicle main is using it. Increasing the cooldown for players that was just in the vehicle will just unnecessarily punish the vehicle mains and allow players who misuse team assets the advantage to waste them.

I disagree with this but  i understand its personal preference with how you use vehicles, agree with people yoloing jets needs to be a way to stop that as a practice dont know how though. Vehicles are just not good at the moment when it comes to availability and i would argue they have always been a important part of the BF series.

    For self-sustaining grenade spam?

No ofcourse not, there is always a way to balance this, remember the small ammo packs that gave rounds only, and then the heavy ones that gave exposives too? They definately worked well but they did take a bit longer to resupply grenades explosives.

    Why?

Personal preference, i think it fits more for engineer but thats just an opinion
