You already lost me with the far-fetched reasoning against an accessibility option. Battlefield has always been about the fun moment-to-moment arcade gameplay anyway.
Arcade gameplay no not really. It has never been hyper realistic but certainly much more realistic than other franchises. Accessibility option though really?? nope thats a straight up exploitable feature
We had bunny hopping in BF 3, jump crouch skidding, zouzou movement, etc. in BF 4, sliding in BF 1+, higher vaulting and more. At least they are nerfed in BF 6, players who do so and followed it with aiming shooting are punished with visual and aim sway which is already great.
Ive been playing battlefield since well before bf3, and I am confident movement has NEVER been this hyper mobile, you do suffer some aim penalty when doing it but that isnt really my point, previous games movements had a sort of recovery time to them this is almost like freerun parkour in full military kit!
Use smoke grenades maybe, or DMR? SVK consistently two-shots. We'll probably get more options anyway on release e.g. smoke GL, Mortar, etc.
Smoke rounds dont work due to the auto spotting mechanic highlighting you automatically, speaking of which manual spotting is absolutely horrible seems to think i want to point out a nice looking rock instead of the sniper whose head im looking at. Sure other weapons but if i am an assault, support or engineer why would i want to snipe? I shouldnt be forced into that. But you are right there will probably be more stuff on release but i can only comment on what i see here.
There are mostly 2 kinds of player that are competing for vehicles: vehicle mains or those who use vehicle as a means of transport takes jet to parachute somewhere or YOLO with IFV or something. As an Infantry main, I only use vehicles when I am redeploying and it is available no vehicle main is using it. Increasing the cooldown for players that was just in the vehicle will just unnecessarily punish the vehicle mains and allow players who misuse team assets the advantage to waste them.
I disagree with this but i understand its personal preference with how you use vehicles, agree with people yoloing jets needs to be a way to stop that as a practice dont know how though. Vehicles are just not good at the moment when it comes to availability and i would argue they have always been a important part of the BF series.
For self-sustaining grenade spam?
No ofcourse not, there is always a way to balance this, remember the small ammo packs that gave rounds only, and then the heavy ones that gave exposives too? They definately worked well but they did take a bit longer to resupply grenades explosives.
Why?
Personal preference, i think it fits more for engineer but thats just an opinion
