A Solo v/s Bots mode, please. XP farming? Fine, no XP.
There can be a solo v/s bots mode in this awesome game. Without XP farming. If the devs and the sweats are worried about XP farming, fine, give solos playing this mode no XP. Just let us have access to all weapons and attachments for our fun - and no weapon mastery that will reflect in PvP. That way we can have our casual fun and the sweats can have their competitions without the two of us getting into each other's way. That's a win for everybody. I sincerely think the devs need to reconsider this and offer a solo v/s bots mode. Many people want to play solo PvE matches. If you're worried about XP farming, then (a) giving no XP in such a solo PvE match is a better and more logical option than (b) not letting people play solo PvE at all.
I was so happy to see the Portal Verified modes in the first few days after the release of the game where we could play solo with bots. But then people complained about XP farming and the devs canceled the bot backfill altogether. I know they have brought it back but there's a catch: the match won't start unless a specific number of humans join in. Which... they never do. The "casual breakthrough" was offered and I'm grateful for that; but I'm sure many casual players will agree that it stops being casual as soon as you encounter another human player. Casual means casual. Solo. It's not about dipping your toe to test the waters. It's a unique, indpendent style of gaming on its own. It caters to the psychological structure of many gamers (especially introverts like me? I don't know). The game was advertised as "Play your way". Well, a casual match with bots is surely a significant way of gameplay. It can't be ignored.
Many people ask, "Why do you ask for PvE in a PvP game?" The answer is simple. Imagine a superhero who can fly but can't walk. Doesn't make any sense, right? Wel... a beautiful game like Battlefield 6 is like that superhero, with its graphics and game mechanics. The game can fly with PvP; it's a shame that it can't walk with a PvE option. It's a great game that should be enjoyable for competitive skilled players as well as casual players who just want to enjoy the game their own way.
I don't know how much of this is about the business strategy. I'm sure that the COD-focused player-base and the business that can be extracted from them has a lot to do with this. But now Black Ops 7 has been released, criticized, and still played by those who just want that competitive COD sense. What I mean is, now, probably, there can be room in the actual and sentimental space of gaming for casuals and their needs. And BF6 may want to step in and fulfill those needs and be the complete game it can be.
