About season 2 and it's important for Battlefield's franchise future.

Hello,

If you slightly slow down the game’s pace and adjust it to feel more like classic Battlefield titles, I truly believe at least 100,000 players would return — myself included. Battlefield needs to move away from the Call of Duty–style gameplay. With Season 2, this direction should be addressed, and only large-scale maps/sections should be introduced.

And good PERSISTENT SERVERS!!! They need to LET THE USER CHOOSE between auto-matching or official server browsers (or something similar).

Also, your point is very valid. Also I kinda wish they keep fewer modes—Conquest and Operations style modes, and a single TDM mode for the newcomers to the battlefield.

Plus, Battle Royale addition just doesn't make sense. There already exists a game (PUBG) that does BR way better than Battlefield ever can. And it has retained its player base because it cares about its own game mode. You don't see PUBG integrating and promoting Conquest mode to poach players from BF. PUBG doesn't launch (or even need to launch) a game mode with Valorant/CSGO flavor to steal players from the said games. It does one thing and does it well enough to retain the player base.

Battlefield seems to be going through a severe identity crisis right now. It really hurts to see what BF1 was and the direction BF6 seems to be taking. I must admit that I am a complete noob compared to the BF veterans. I started playing this game just last year (around August started with BF1, then played 6. Now back to 1), yet the issue is so glaring that it boggles my mind how the management is letting this happen. I can only imagine how bad the long-timers feel about this. Also, the argument "looking through rose-tinted glasses" / "feeling nostalgic" doesn't apply to me at all, since I just started.

Sorry for the rant, I just don't want to see a game with so much potential go down the drain just because the management has no idea what it's doing. Do they even play games in the first place?

If Battlefield 6 becomes a true Battlefield and not a further imitation of Call of Duty, that would be great. But it's unlikely.
