About the Server Browser...

Not going to waist my time on this game if it doesn't have server browser.

Server browser is a much needed feature for community hosting. Battlefield has always been about communities. It's built for large scale warfare with group of people. Coming back to the old same server to meet the same people is important.

Not having persistent servers is definitely a terrible experience when playing with a larger group of friends. I really hope that private/rental servers, server browser and persistent servers make a comeback. That's the information I want, I don't really care about how things look and how the multiplayer plays. If I have to invest in a game, I want to know these things before I buy the game, not hope for the best and see what happens.

Yes, a server browser with private/rented servers should be in the game. It allows the game to build communities/clans/guilds/friends with consistent players/regulars. I deeply miss that from early BF games where you would see the same names each night and get to know folks over chat or squadding up with them. Dropping/resetting after every match almost completely removes that ability. 

For me, the most important reason for a server browser is that you’re able to find a server with a specific map/mod e combination. Either because there’s some kind of progression item I want to work on, or because it’s just my favorite map/mode combination. I would hate to have to use quick play in a certain mode and hope that the map I want shows up.

In case of rental servers, it’s obviously a way to find that specific server. 

I would love to see this feature make a return in the latest title. It would work so much if the added the Server Browser back (Previous title server browser not the crappy BF Portal browser). Of course they can keep the matchmaking aspect of the game for those who don't wanna search for a server to play!

I hope the server browser and server rentals come back. We'll see if the open beta is in August or later.
