Despite the usual comments regarding controller and the advantages we have with 'aim assist', this recent update really has ruined the experience for me. Prior to the update on the 18th it felt like a perfect balance, now it feels like aim assist is weaker and sporadic at various distances. I'm all for not giving controller huge advantages, but this update has been terrible.
I'd call myself an above average player, and I 100% notice a difference with hit registration compared with before the update. Gun fights I'd usually win 8 times out of 10 have dropped to below half, 4 maybe 5 at best. Distance shooting feels near impossible now with whatever bullet spread or lack of aim assist that's since been added.
Hour or so trying various controller settings over various games haven't yieled a suitable result. Such a shame considering the perfect balance we had prior to the update. Silenced weapons feel pointless using, or at least the few I used prior to the update. There's definitely a hit registration issue that's become extremely apparent after this update, which I can only assume is linked to whatever new aim assist settings we're now having to try and play with.
Sorry undisclosedhost , 8 out of 10 is not average. You just admitted that aim assist gave you a HUGE benefit. A 30% increase over average (50%) is HUGE....HUGE!
An "above average" player, which is what you say you are, would only give you a 10% to 20% (at best) average. For you to be "above average" and have a 30% positive KDR is unreal.
"Perfect balance". No...perfect balance would be an above average player getting 50% to 70% of kills to deaths. 80% (plus) would make you an elite player...which you never said you were one of.
Geez.
