All my friends are banned for Steam user name.

All the people that I've played BF with for years are suddenly banned for the same name they've used for many years.  Their names are in no way offensive and have existed on Steam and EA for many years with no problems.  I see plenty of user names still playing that I would consider offensive yet they survive.  Not sure how EA decides such things but it's quite frankly a violation in itself.  Reading other post I can see I'm not alone in this and it needs to be fixed.  Please tell me how Steven76 or Deathrage are considered offensive?
