Battlefield 6 - Career Statistics System Need to be Reviewed (K/D Ratio)

Hello EA Team,

I’m writing to provide feedback on the Battlefield 6 statistics system, as there are several issues that undermine the integrity and accuracy of Career Totals.

Portal Statistics (Unverified Experiences)

All kills and deaths from Portal experiences that are not EA-verified should be completely excluded from Career Totals. This would prevent inflated or manipulated stats through bot-only or custom lobbies that are not representative of standard gameplay.

Bot Kills and Deaths

All bot-related statistics — including both kills and deaths — should be removed from Career Totals across all modes. Career stats should reflect player-versus-player performance only, not PvE interactions.

Casual Breakthrough Statistics

The current handling of Casual Breakthrough stats is inconsistent and unfair. Recording player deaths while excluding other stats (such as kills) creates an incomplete and misleading career record. This mode needs one of the following solutions:

Either include player kills only alongside player deaths in Career Totals,
or

Remove all Casual Breakthrough statistics from Career Totals entirely.

Recording deaths without the corresponding offensive stats should not be an option.

Overall, the Career Statistics system needs a review to ensure consistency, fairness, and competitive integrity. Career stats should accurately represent meaningful PvP performance across verified, standardized game modes only.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback.

  • Thought I’d mention, due to Bot Backfill having Bot Kills and Deaths (Not Just Deaths) in competitive game modes (Not Portal Game Modes) applied to our Career Totals shouldn’t be that significant of an issue, as long as it’s both Kills and Deaths and not just Deaths

  • Quit whining, it's a game that needs a lot more fixing than people worried about there KDR  !

It’s one of the major issues in the game alongside others, it’s impossible to actually look at a level 200 player and say they’re probably decent at the game.

  • Lets put revives in the stat counter at the end of the game as well please :D

  • Eh kd stat padders are a joke. Wouldn't mind if they just removed it altogether. Kd in this game means absolutely nothing.

In a “competitive” shooter it really should mean something but I completely agree, there’s no sense behind 90% of the player base’s K/Ds, majority of them are in the double digits and the leaders on the leaderboards are in the 10s of thousands 😭

I think the issue is that people think KD is correlated to skill. There is no ranked play (as of yet) and due to the various modes that are out there, KD isn't a great quantifier. I've played with people that have 25+ kd who literally have 5 kills in a game. Often, I see them complaining that no one is reviving them so that they can minus their death from their stats. Ironically, if you look at the world's best FPS players in Counter-strike for instance, their KD is no where near that (< 2 kd). When you play with players competitively where everyone is good, your KD will not be in the thousands. If the game wanted to make KD more significant, it would need to categorize it in subdomains based on the mode (e.g. KD team deathmatch != KD casual breakthrough/conquest/etc.).

I agree, thats basically my point, K/D in Battlefield 6 is so inconsistent it doesn’t represent anything but a random number, I wouldn’t mind separating Kills and Deaths from separate game modes into different K/Ds but there still needs to be a complete K/D and that’s where my argument is, the overall K/D needs to cover PVP only, it needs to cover both offensive and defensive stats in every EA Verified Gamemode, at the moment it covers everything but kills in Casual Breakthough, for whatever reason because deaths are counted in Casual Breakthrough, a gamemode which I thought wasn’t meant to count any statistics, but here we are

  • I agree with everything, I also suggest that stats shouldn't be able to be hidden. What is even the reason for being able to do that? It just lets cheaters hide their stats and most highly skilled players want to show their stats not hide them so whats the point?
