The Battlefield series has always stood out for its relative realism, emphasis on strategy, and teamwork, but EA has completely abandoned this identity in favor of a fast-paced, shallow, instant-gratification style that mirrors its competitor.
Battlefield stood out for its authentic atmosphere, not because it was relatively realistic. There hasn't been a single Battlefield game from Battlefield 1942 to Battlefield 6 that was even relatively realistic. It has always been an arcade experience that might occasionally use some features such as destruction or bullet physics simulation to add a bit of extra depth to the gameplay.
Battlefield 6 isn't a major departure from a game like Battlefield 3. Yet pretty much every Battlefield game has threads like these that blames Battlefield for being a COD clone.
One of the most egregious issues is the automatic and now absurdly fast health regeneration
While I certainly agree that automatic health regeneration is too effective and they should slow it down a bit, it certainly isn't a feature that defines the game. There have been plenty of Battlefield games that combined the Assault kit with some way to heal yourself like a medic bag. So what you'd get is 70% of the players would choose to play Assault.
In theory if you slow down or remove health regeneration, you'd think people would go to their Medic teammates and request heals, but that doesn't happen in practice. People will just pick the class that allows themselves to heal, it's that simple. Health regeneration as counter-intuitive as it sounds actually makes sure that you can actually play other classes more effectively as well.
The idea that Battlefield stood out for its emphasis on strategy and teamwork is a joke as well. Even in Battlefield 2, where you had 6 player squads and a commander that could assign specific instructions to each squad, the vast majority of games would consist of people that didn't even listen to the commander or their squad leader for that matter. The only exception were clans, that will work together regardless of the game they are playing.
this feature transforms Battlefield 6 into a chaotic run-and-gun fest where survival requires no thought or coordination
I found during the beta that people tend to get themselves in trouble because they'd run in the open without a second thought. They'd get mowed down by a prone LMG within seconds. At least in comparison to Battlefield 2042, Battlefield 6 is significantly slower and more deliberate. You can run around a lot, but for you to survive, you must also know when to stop running and watch your step, especially because you couldn't play by sound like you could in Battlefield 2042 (Footsteps were not sufficiently audible).
When I ran into a larger group of people I'd die instantly as well, because the TTK was quite low. Sticking to your teammates was still quite important. Meaning that survival requires both thought and coordination. Health regeneration doesn't really help to prevent instant lethal damage. Health regeneration stops when you're being suppressed, so suppressive fire is also still quite effective.
