Battlefield 6 Breakthrough Defenders Overwhelmed by Mortar Spam

In Battlefield 6, the Breakthrough mode has become almost unplayable, especially on the defending side. The main issue is that key defensive objectives are simply not being held properly, which ruins the entire flow of the game.

Enemies are able to position themselves very close to the objectives and continuously use mortars. As a result, they bombard defensive zones with dozens of random mortar strikes, making it nearly impossible for defenders to hold their ground.

Because of this, matches in Breakthrough mode often end in a very short time with an inevitable loss for defenders. The balance feels completely off, and it removes any sense of strategy or teamwork from the mode.

This is a serious issue, and the developers need to address it as soon as possible.

  • When I join match of Breakthrough as a defender and the other team have players that know they can exploit mortars from HQ, I quit the game. Not because I will surely loose, but because is not fun at all trying to play when is raining bombs on your head the hole match.

  • EA never fixes the issues they cause with their intelligent gameplay decisions they simply find the next empty spot on the wall and start throwing things at it.

The plethora of bugs and glitches introduced in their first patch of season 1 STILL being in the game are the examples I use here.
