Battlefield 6 Needs to Address the Cheating via Adapters (Cronus Zen, XIM, etc.)

To the Battlefield Development Team,

I am writing to call attention to a growing and urgent issue that is undermining fair play in Battlefield 6 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5: the widespread use of hardware adapters for cheating.

An increasing number of players are using devices like the XIM Matrix, Cronus Zen, and Reasnow S1. These adapters allow users to connect a mouse and keyboard to their console (or PC) while tricking the game into recognizing them as an official controller.

This deception provides an unfair double advantage:

1. The Precision of Mouse & Keyboard: They get the familiar and precise aiming of a mouse.
2. The Power of Controller Aim Assist: They unfairly retain the powerful aim assist that the game provides to controller players to help with thumbstick aiming.

This creates an uneven playing field where these players have a significant and unfair advantage over both:

· Legitimate Controller Players, who are using thumbsticks as intended.
· Legitimate Mouse & Keyboard Players, who do not receive any aim assist.

As you acknowledged in a recent interview, the team is aware of the cheating problem on consoles, particularly with devices like the Cronus Zen, and is working with platform holders on detection methods . We appreciate these efforts, but the problem is already rampant and is severely impacting the game's integrity shortly after launch.

The issue of adapter-based cheating is not unique to Battlefield. Over recent years, popular FPS titles such as Call of Duty, Apex Legends, and Destiny have all struggled with the widespread use of these hardware spoofing devices. A common criticism among the community is that many anti-cheat systems have failed to adequately detect and restrict them, allowing such devices to proliferate and damage the competitive integrity of these games. We strongly urge the Battlefield 6 development team to learn from these precedents and take a distinctly more proactive and rigorous stance. It is crucial to implement robust, hardware-level detection measures that go beyond what has been done in other titles. We hope for a clear and committed action plan, not merely acknowledgments or delayed responses that have been perceived as insufficient in other games like Call of Duty.

We, the community, urge you to prioritize and strengthen the detection and prevention of these hardware cheats. Please take decisive action to stop this form of cheating from becoming the norm and protect the fair competitive environment that all Battlefield players deserve.

Thank you for your attention to this critical matter.

I think its time  we stop giving them our time and money. Microsoft included. I dont  thingk ill be supporting xbox anymore over this.

  • Dice has not banned or suspended one console player that uses a zen on xim on console. Not one

  • EA once said a cheaters money is just as good as a non cheater. They don't care about cheaters if cheaters are buying there games

playstation does the same thing, and so does PC.

all platforms have the same issues with the hardware adapters
