Battlefield 6 Pro & Phantom Upgrade Together

Hello, good day!
I've recently purchased Battlefield 6, quite new to the game and franchise as a whole, been having quite the fun as of late. I had initially bought the normal edition which everyone gets. Eventually I had upgraded to the BF6 Pro via the Steam store, all my purchases was from Steam. Got all my unlocks and everything no issues on that.

Now I wanted to upgrade to the Phantom edition and was wondering whether the extra BF pro token remains idle until the next season or? Since spending the extra just to waste a token seems weird hehe. I hav'nt seen much discussion on this in the community and not much shows up so if any clarity can be provided, that'd be awesome!
