Battlefield 6 was wrongly banned, please help me!

Dear BF_SledgeHammer,

I am writing to request a manual review of my Battlefield 6 account, which was permanently banned on March 22 with the reason "Gameplay Enhancement" and internal code COMPETITIVE_ADVANTAGE.

My account:

EA ID: V0rtexyX_GG

Why I believe this is a false positive:

1. Frequent IP changes due to accelerator/VPN

I am a player in China. Due to network restrictions, I must use UU Game Booster to get a stable connection. This accelerator changes my IP address frequently based on server nodes. I also occasionally use other VPNs. I understand this may have triggered the anti-cheat's automated flagging.

2. Background processes (all legitimate)

At the time of the ban, my system was running:

  • TranslucentTB – taskbar customization
  • Cherry keyboard driver
  • Lenovo Legion Toolkit – laptop management
  • Logitech G Hub – mouse driver
  • Voicemeeter – virtual audio mixer
  • NVIDIA Broadcast – audio/video noise removal
  • OBS Virtual Camera – virtual camera for streaming/recording

All of these are common, legitimate applications. None are cheats or mods.

3. KovaaK's Sensitivity Matcher

I used this aim-training tool earlier to test and match my mouse sensitivity in Battlefield 6. It is a legitimate training software, but I understand its method of mouse input might be misidentified by anti-cheat systems.

4. Hardware setup

I play on a laptop with an external monitor via USB-C to DisplayPort. This is a standard configuration.

My commitment to Battlefield:

  • I pre-ordered the Phantom Edition before the game's official release – this shows my strong trust and support for the franchise.
  • I have over 5,000 hours across the entire Battlefield series.
  • I am a loyal and passionate player. I would never risk losing my Phantom Edition account – which I paid for and invested years into – by using cheats. If I were actually cheating, I would not be posting here publicly.

What I have already done:

  • Submitted an EA Help appeal with DxDiag.txt attached
  • Downloaded and reviewed my EA account data
  • Checked all login records

My request:

Please manually review my case – including gameplay logs, system environment, and IP history. I am fully cooperative and ready to provide any additional files or information if needed.

Thank you for your time and fair assessment.

Sincerely,

V0rtexyX_GG

I value my personal privacy. In all the previous titles I've played, I've always turned off the game data sharing feature because I feel it infringes on my privacy. That said, if there's currently a way to unlock this option, please let me know—I'd be happy to make my data visible for you to check."😀

  • Using a connection booster plus using Logitech G Hub...both are 3rd party softwares that enhance your gameplay. ToS states to disable all 3rd party softwares or risk a ban.

You have multiple game enhancement softwares running in the background as your post says. Your ban was legit

I been banned from GW2 20 years ago for using Logitech G Hub for macros.

Disable 3rd party software or risk a ban. You didnt and got banned. It was not a false ban.

We don't play games to study the Terms of Service (ToS). In fact, an average, common-sense gamer should never even be put in a situation where they have to dig into the ToS. Common sense dictates that before enforcing a permanent ban based on a technicality, the game company should have at least issued a warning to the OP.

In your case, you mentioned you got banned for using G Hub for "macros." Do you honestly think it's fair to equate your actual macro ban with the OP's situation?

Of course, I do believe your ban might have been unfair as well—if you were banned merely for having G Hub running (which simply has the potential for macros) rather than actively exploiting a macro in-game to gain an unfair advantage. Even if you did have a macro programmed into your hardware, you might have just set it up for office productivity and work automation.

Unless a game company specifically proves what macro was used, how it was used, and what exact advantage was gained, permanently banning a player based purely on "potential" or the mere presence of a background program makes absolutely no sense.

    Hi V0rtexyX_GG,

Sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with this.

I understand why this would be frustrating, especially with how much time and support you’ve put into the Battlefield series. Unfortunately, bans and appeals can’t be reviewed or handled here on the forums.

If you believe the action was applied incorrectly, the best next step is still to continue through the appeal/support process and include the details you shared here as clearly as possible. You can submit the appeal through the Penalty History tool or use this webform instead.

Sorry again that you’re in this position, and thank you for taking the time to explain everything so thoroughly.

    Dear Community Manager,

Thank you for taking the time to respond and for your understanding.

I fully appreciate that forum moderators cannot handle ban appeals directly, and I respect your suggestion to use the Penalty History tool or the webform. However, I would like to share my actual experience:

    • I have filled out the appeal forms correctly several times, but throughout the entire process, I could not find any email address or contact option to reach the TOS team. They seem to be hidden behind a very opaque system, which makes it extremely difficult to communicate with them directly.
    • Live chat agents told me they have no authority to lift bans.
    • Unlike you community managers, who are always attentive and responsive to the community, the TOS team appears far less accessible. I really appreciate the work you do here – it's truly commendable.

I am not asking you to overturn the ban here. What I would humbly ask is:

    • Could you possibly forward my case internally to the responsible team, together with my login‑history screenshot (attached)?
    • Or, is there any more effective communication channel you can suggest, beyond the standard forms?

My primary need is simple: I just want to know what specific program, software, or behaviour triggered the ban – even an error code or log fragment would help me identify the cause and avoid repeating it in the future.

In addition, I have another account whose last login was in November 2025, and I have not logged into it since. That account only owned and played Battlefield 5, never Battlefield 6, yet it was also banned. I have no idea which program triggered the false detection. To be safe, I have already reinstalled my system, but this ban has made me afraid to purchase any Battlefield game again, worrying that I might be wrongly flagged once more. This situation makes me suspect that the detection system may have misjudged my case.

I have attached the login‑history screenshot for your reference. I would be very grateful if you could spare a moment to pass this along.

Thank you again for your time and support.
