I am with you on a lot of this but either the way you say it here or your actual knowledge of how things are are not clear. I'd like to help you understand somethings. My order below is not a one for one to yours.
1) PC being able to disable crossplay will NOT help when it comes to Aim Assist. PCs can use controllers as well. The only solution is to divide the player base by input method (controller or M&K). Doubtful they can or will do this.
2) Netcode, input latency and desync: EA/DICE have had issues with the netcode EVERY edition of BF. You should know this. I am not on their side at all and it seems really strange a "AAA" studio continues to have the SAME issue every game they release. It makes zero sense. You know that definition of insanity? Keep doing the same thing and expect a different result... Who is the insane ones here? Us or them?
3) $800 router? Wow... I feel bad for spending $350 for a dual ISP router (meaning I have 2 different internet connections and my router auto switches to which one is on-line, important when working from home). Centrally localized servers won't matter. It isn't latency that is killing you. It is your lack of it! You should do better on a higher ping server. Stupid how that works, but that is how it is.
4) Instant turns.... Seeing as you've been FPS gaming for so long, you should know we M&K users can do the same. We can create macros and bind it to whatever key we want. I think the point you are trying to make is: You think controllers have an advantage because its easy for them to set up and use, versus M&K. I don't think they should be able to and making macros on our end "should" be cheating as well.
5) I do not want region locked MM. That is dumb! We shouldn't have any kind of limitations on match making, it should be connect and play. However, I would like to caveat that with there should be IN MATCH BALANCING! THIS is WAY more important that ping and all the other garbage! Teams in this game are so unbalanced you see all objectives capped, when if say on conquest if one team takes a 300 ticket lead, the game starts swapping squads. This would lead to more balance in the game overall.
6) Aim assist through objects - If AA is to exist, it should not be able to do this! Smoke, brush, boxes, etc... NOTHING! That is just a way for players to know someone is there. And the killed player to question if someone is cheating.
7) Tick rate: Supposedly, on conquest and breakthrough game types (includes escalation) the tick rate is supposedly 60. On the smaller game modes TDM, strikepoint, etc it is supposedly 30. Portal servers are also 30. I agree with you FPS gaming "should" have high tick rates but these "AAA" studios don't want to pay for it. Especially if their player base is shrinking. Older consoles couldn't compete with high tick rate but I think that is a thing of the past. Most "AAA" games use 60hz tick rate. I have spent a lot of time researching this stuff and the studios won't do it. I would prefer us returning back to the days of private servers. We who do well in life can afford to pay for a 128hz tick rate server and we can choose what we allow to play and moderate our own communities. This was the dumbest thing ever to happen to on-line gaming.
8) Recoil and bloom: 25% reduction for controllers on both is too excessive. Add AA and netcode, we PC players don't stand a chance in close gun fights. Sure, there are going to be wins, there are going to be games where M&K will do better in certain situations, depends on skill and circumstance. However, 25% bonus just for input method is insane! This is why I call Controller players on Welfare. They get kills handed to them. If they are not going to remove it, then reduce it by HALF at least!
9) I will say it time. I applaud EA/DICE for trying to get on top of the cheating problem. However, I doubt they are actually doing much at the start of a new season. How much does business policy and money get in the way of them actually enforcing bans? Why is it I am seeing high numbers of low level players all using the same "meta" weapons killing me? Is this their second or third account? Is EA/DICE doing anything to stop people repeat offending? Doubtful! It is just money in their pockets.
Overall dude, I agree with you but the company won't do a **bleep** thing. They won't risk pissing off the controller player base by reducing AA, increasing bloom and recoil, even though we are complaining about it. I am pretty sure they have the statistics that won't be shared with us that show controller players are more likely to spend in the game store or they see more repeat purchases from consoles vs PC. If they cared about fair play or even gaming at all, they would listen, but they don't and they won't. It takes massive boycotts and the player base won't do that... as a whole we are all too stupid and addicted. We let them make gaming this way and we have to suffer for it. Oh well.
