BF6 is a TERRIBLE experience for newcomers.
There is NO PVE environment anymore as it was in BF2042 to learn the game and level up the weapons on a modest skill level level. New BF6 players are thrown into a meat grinder they are not prepared...

How can you talk about newcomers when the game is only 2 weeks old? "veterans wearing ELITE weapons" That's not the case, those who wear elite weapons abused the system in Bot farms, that's why they temporarily disabled it to fix the exploit. No one that plays the game how it is supposed to be played has elite weapons.
But that doesn't fix it, the only way they can truly fix it at this point is resetting all the leader boards and everyone's stats and weapons/ Which they will never do because that would be an even bigger fallout than what they are experiencing now
Yes, that's what they should do, reset all accounts that have reached elite tier on their weapons, because it is impossible to reach this in two weeks time. They didn't disable it to fix the harm that already happened, they disabled it to fix it to not go on while needing the time to implement a solution in the game.
The only thing they did wrong is to not announce this properly, so now people are pissed due to wrong assumptions.
Any BF veteran by now has their favorite weapon upgraded to elite level. Just one Elite Carbine is enough to handle almost everything and you know it.
Newcomers often do not even know how weapon classes and extensions work. These people crash a helicopter on their first flight within 5 secs.
Without a SAFE environment to learn the basics and level up personal skills and weapons NEWCOMERS are LOST and just CANNON FODDER in this game.
Maybe platoons would help alleviate this, you could have a list of platoons recruiting with each listing giving a brief description you could have platoons set up to help new players learn.
For this dice needs to give in and provide platoons.
Maybe but there would be very few who would take the time for that, now the servers are littered with exploiters who have 5 or more weapons and all their classes on Elite tier owning every single gadget. That makes a huge difference don't you think?! And for those "veterans" they have earned their weapon playing the game, they've put in the work, they deserve it. If you play 5 hours a week and i play 10, my weapons will also be stronger. The point is, they've earned it the honest way and didn't exploit the system contrary to the bot farmers.
"Newcomers often do not even know how weapon classes and extensions work." There's some training mode up until lvl 20, so there's no excuse, or watch YT video's. Jet's and Heli's, those you learn to fly in an empty portal server, you can choose one from the available community list and host it locally.
"safe environment"... it's a videogame dude.
