I often see requests for a server browser on social media. I agree that a server browser is necessary, but when hosting a community event, all you need to do is search in the server browser, making it easy to jump to the same server. With the current system, you can't jump to the same server unless you jump from your friends list.

I know it’s a beta, but for the full release we definitely need a proper server browser. 3 and 4’s server browsers were great and gave you the real choice of what you wanted to play (game modes, maps, tickets etc.). We don’t want to be playing a random queue of maps that sometimes feel like we are playing more maps than other ones.
Trust me, I want a Server Browser, I just don't think they will go that route because of how they have employed their backend infrastructure. It would come with a whole slew of technical challenges that I don't think they are willing to commit to.
Back in previous titles, there were dedicated EA Servers, physical servers, hosting the games. They are now fully in AWS. So every round is a new server instance spun up virtually. At the end of the round, that thing is gone.
They definitely need to do something, because there is zero continuity between rounds. They are all just random messes right now.
They definitely can host their own servers through WSL / their own dedicated servers, independently from AWS. No way they only develop the game through connecting to AWS instances, that would be way too expensive with the amount of people they have working on this.
Licensing and agreements could be a problem, but that immediately would stop being a problem if people decided to boycott the game en mass, unless there is a server browser and dedicated servers, because money speaks at the end of the day. Unfortunately someone at EA or Dice decided that SBMM and no server browser is the way to go and they gaslighted everyone else into believing that that portal server browser is the same.
i dont understand, if they do it on portal, why not doing it for the main game ?!
Without a proper server browser my clan will not buying the game because we cannot play together in one team.
Also it have to be ranked and the server need to be found by other people and clans.
Also I hope we can play without squad teams same like battlefield 4.
The beta was great the feeling was great ( only to much softcore for me) but I am afraid that they will messed up the server stuff of the game.
I’m tired of loading into a game and not being able to join my friends. It's the worst part of playing recent Battlefields, and it completely guts the social experience. It shouldn't matter if we're in different squads or on opposite teams. That was the fun part!
Remember those moments? Remember the friendly rivalries, the taunts, and the exhilaration of hunting down your buddy just to take their dog tags? That's what made Battlefield's social experience so special. The real bragging rights aren't for collecting some random influencer's tag—they're for taking your friend's.
My beta experience was great, but it felt hollow because I couldn't share it with all my friends. I would happily endure a bad queue just for the chance to play with them.
Please, bring back the server browser to the base game. It's not just a feature; it’s the heartbeat of the social experience that made us fall in love with Battlefield in the first place.

Yep. I have 6 friends who want to buy the game, but in beta we can play together only if they start connecting to us when we find the game lobby. So, if there will be no server browser on release it will be difficult to play together.
