Big doesn't mean Poorly Designed - Tsuru's Flaws

  • There's an entire large area of base and airstrip that's mostly ignored near Objective Hotel. The coast around it is also empty.
  • There's too few boats at the start to get everyone into the action without having to swim for miles.
  • The patrol boats should allow people to hang on the top as well as be inside, for transportation.
  • NATO can technically reach their objectives much faster due to the straight sail forward.
  • If you're in a squad that's scattered, you can end up having to hit respawn it simply save time moving around.

Some of the many problems this map has. A good example of a Naval series of maps were all of the Battlefield 1 maps that featured naval combat. They had height, well placed objectives, a good balance between hot and cold areas, and included behemoths to add to the chaos, turning the tide (pun intended).

I do love the feel of the map. The waves, the harbour idea etc, but it still feels very flat and lifeless compared to the naval battlefield 1 maps. It feels less naval combat, more regular BF6 (with it's continued technical issues) with boats and water.

To fix the above, I think it needs some tweaks before the carrier stuff comes along. Vehicle design, objectives placements and similar.

Not liking "big maps" after everyone has asked for them doesn't mean we don't want big maps, it means we want well designed big maps.
