Can the FSR DLL be replaced without issues
Hello,
I'd like to ask about something that worries me if I do it without contacting EA directly. I've played BF6; I have 100 hours in it. I haven't played it in quite a while because of a personal issue I had = the visibility of enemies, which sometimes annoyed me. The combination of having trouble distinguishing players and the fact that I have an RX 6800 means I’m limited to TAA, FSR 3, or XESS. After running several tests, I concluded that FSR AA was the anti-aliasing option that caused me the fewest issues (in terms of clarity). But with the update that improves player visibility, it made me want to give the game another try. Except here’s the catch for me: I don’t have FSR 4 available because I’m using an RDNA 2 GPU. But Optiscaler has managed to create an FSR 4 DLL that works perfectly on RDNA 2 cards. I’ve tried it on numerous single-player games, and I find it 100 times better than FSR 3. To implement FSR 4 on my RX 6800, I have two options:
- Either I simply replace the DLL—with one click, FSR 4 is enabled
- Or I put Optiscaler in the game folder, which also takes 30 seconds but allows for further customization in-game.
But I know it’s very risky to use this DLL or Optiscaler in online games because of the fact that it's not an official dll put by AMD and it could get me banned. I know, for example, that with Forza 6 you can do it without any issues.
So, EA, I’m asking you:
Do I have the right to use this DLL without risking a ban, please? This would improve my experience so much, Even FSR4 INT 8 version from optiscaler (that is not even official and it's not fsr4.1 but 4.0.2b) in performance mode looks overall better and sharper than FSR3 quality or native, and that's not because of you but just because fsr3 is not a great upscaler nor great antialiasing. Even AMD used that dll mod in their last video announcing fsr 4 for rdna 3 users. It shows that even AMD approves it
