Can't get a game on redsec

Why is it now impossible to get a game on redsec with cross play turned off? Console players don't want to play with those sweaty pc gamers! The drop off on this game astronomical in my opinion. It should be console players v console players. It surely has to do with no one is simply playing this game anymore? Only a few months after launch and it's dead, I expect this sort of drop off after a couple of years.
