Competitive Tournament & API Feedback for Battlefield 6
Hello Battlefield REDSEC Team,
First of all, I want to say that I really like the direction Battlefield REDSEC is taking, especially the competitive side of the game. I believe this game has huge potential for esports and community tournaments in the future.
I wanted to share some feedback and also explain my goals as a player and future tournament organizer.
My goal is to become a small tournament organizer at first and eventually grow larger competitive events for the Battlefield community. I would love to create tournaments where many players can participate, including prize pools, competitive formats, and possibly entry fees for players who want to join serious tournaments.
To make this possible, I believe Battlefield REDSEC and Battlefield 6 Multiplayer would greatly benefit from more competitive tools and community support systems.
Here are some features that I believe would help both tournament organizers and the competitive community:
Custom lobbies/private matches for tournament organizers
Spectator mode for casting and streaming matches
Lobby invite systems or temporary/private access codes for players
Better support for esports/community events
APIs or developer access to match data and statistics
As a software developer, one of my biggest goals is to build my own tournament platform or web application connected to Battlefield tournaments. For this, I would need access to live or post-match data through APIs.
For example:
team wins/losses
match results
player statistics
rankings/MMR
tournament brackets
live match updates
team performance data
I would love to automatically display this information on my future website/application in real time after matches finish. Similar systems already exist in other competitive games and esports ecosystems, and I believe Battlefield could become even bigger with this type of support.
I also believe custom lobbies and tournament APIs would help the community create:
grassroots tournaments
amateur leagues
community esports events
competitive ranking systems
streaming and broadcasting experiences
Even though I understand that competitive support is still evolving, I truly hope Battlefield continues investing in this direction because the game has massive competitive potential.
Thank you for your work and for listening to community feedback. I am excited to see the future of Battlefield competitive play and I hope one day I can help grow the community through tournaments and software development tools.
Best regards,
Andreas Christou
