The game is too fast in general. It is more like a CoD with vehicles than a Battlefield. I understand that it was the goal to attract as many CoD players as possible and obviously it worked well, but let's see how long they will stick to the game. And how many long-term-committed BF veterans will still be there then to keep the game alive.
Me and my friends are veterans since BF2, and after some short acclimation time we got along with every new BF title (except for 2042 which we did not even buy, we sticked to BFV)
But we all fail to adapt to BF6, and I don't think that this is our fault. The game has changed to much, it has gotten too fast. There is no time anymore to act together as a squad and play the objectice, no time to discuss tactics. It is even difficult to just stay in touch (near) with your squad members, because you are always under fire. 90% of game time we are occupied with avoiding fire and staying alive, instead of trying to play the objective.
Then there are the design flaws like the many many locations for camping on the maps. There are so many places (roofs, moutains, windows) where people can hide, and they use them. You cannot move, you cannot flank to reach a distant flag and give at lost game a turn, because you will run into several campers with 101% guarantee while trying. Moving is dying most of the time, and not moving is surviving and getting some kills, but not reaching the objective. It's bad map and game design enforcing these sad rules. Previous BF games designs managed to avoid this problem, but BF6 doesn't.
Another design flow are the overpowered SMGs. They kill you so fast, even on medium distance, you have no time/chance to react or escape. This is sooo useLess (except gor attracting more CoD kiddies) and it disrupts the game.
Balancing: we don't know why and how this is possible if after each maps the teams/ players are different from before, but we are in the losing team all the time. If we play 10 games in a night, we lose 9 of them. Always. Every night. When you are in a "lose streak", you don't get out, regardless of how often you disconnect and search for a new game: you will be on the losing team again? How is this even statistically possible? Math says, we should win about 50% of the games. This is so frustrating.
At least: godlike players. They were there in every BF title so far, but in BF6 they are especially disrupting. Maybe the additional bad map design in BF6 makes them worse, because it makes it impossible to avoid them in the game. Example: only one "godlike" heli pilot on Eastwood decides the match. He will see "everything", he will kill "everyone", and he will survive any IGLA or the terribly week AA tank all the time with skilled flying and overpowered countermeassures. Happened to me at least 2x yesterday. Heli alone ruled the map from A to E, impossible to destroy or even hit it. Where is this "skill-based matchmaking" you were babbeling about all the time, EA?
This game is so bad, so hectic, so unbalanced, so exaggerated in some aspects while underdeveloped in other important aspects... I am really thinking about ending my 20 years of BF career and look for a better, more pleasant hobby like feeding ducks on the lake....
You are losing the veterans with this, EA. And the CoD kiddies will not stay long enough to replace us on longer sight.
