According to Matthew Nickerson crossplay off means XB and PS5 plays together.

That's a huge victory for us PC players too! 😁
Im all for Console vs Console and PC vs PC.
We tried it in 2042. Something doesn't sync right with console and PC. I would rather play with PC as I am sure console would rather play with console. I really wish they would turn crossplay off on PC to start with.
