I come from a time when multiplayer meant sharing a table, not a server — and connectivity issues meant someone tripped over the LAN cable.
Back then, the only Battlepass was: Bring snacks or stay home.
We didn’t play for cosmetics or shiny stuff.
A real challenge to unlock something you wanted kept you motivated to improve your skills — and developers made sure those challenges were at least doable.
Today almost every game gets released as a work in progress — and all the post-launch balancing, patches and reworks often kill the fun that made it exciting in the first place.
It’s still Battlefield, sure… just not the one many of us saw and hoped for during the Beta.
EA and DICE should finally start listening to the players and give them what they’ve been asking for all along:
bigger maps, more freedom and a game that’s truly fun for everyone — with the freedom to play the way you want.
