People who say K/D doesn't matter are insecure about their K/D
Well, since BF games were always about playing the objective, you can have an insane positive or negative K/D and still be on the winning or losing team. Extreme positive K/D is an ego thing, be proud of it if that is how you like to play. I have noticed some outrageous ticket bleed when I was on the dominating teams thinking that the game should just end. One of those games had a timer ticking down but the opposing team still had more than 200 tickets left. Then, with more than 30 seconds left on the count-down, the game just ended with more than 130 tickets left on the losing side. Like... wut...
Ticket bleed has always been in the game in relation to Conquest modes. Its the reward for team playing better in that mode. It's what encourages the PTFO mantra.
I am curious tho, is there a win perk? Do players get bonus experience for winning a match or nah? If winning or losing doesn't matter, then its just the most basic exp grind.

"You might've been wondering how exactly does it punish strategy and skill? The next time you're playing a round that exceeds 25 minutes have a gander at whether the ticket bleed is the same for both teams. You will notice that it is! Wow! The ticket bleed is no longer being manipulated! Nope. During the first 25 minutes ticket manipulation was in full swing, reducing the amount of tickets the enemy/your team bleeds, conversely increasing the leading teams bleed rate. The reason why it stops having an impact the later the game goes is because the game is trying to force a victor and it's no longer yielding the chance for a comeback which it previously attempted in the first 25 minutes."
Ticket Manipulation and Comeback Mechanics has NEVER been part of Battlefield.
