EA could just at least create separate servers for players on Linux, and then there would be no cheaters on the main servers and players on Linux would be happy, but they would not do that and this is disappointed.
There will 100% be cheaters in the Windows servers, so separating makes no sense. The anti-cheat has no effect for the people who really want to cheat.
You have to incorporate server side anti-cheat to solve this problem. All client side anti-cheat solutions can also be made working on Linux, esports title like The Finals show that that is no problem.
